He would fit in the system. Not particularly explosive like cb or neal but more of a davaris daniels role.

He has such a higher ceiling that CB... CB is a burner, not really developed kind of wr. Torii Hunter is a game changer, the Mike Floyd kind of receiver that can take a game over.

If Hunter ends up being a better prospect than Brown then that would be amazing. But right now, he is almost definitely not. Brown reportedly has good hands, he has elite speed, he is taller than Hunter, and he has an elite vertical. Basically, he looks like a USC prospect. I doubt Hunter is at that level.

First off, I think they'll both be great. But like I said, they're two completely different players. Chris Brown IMO will never take over a game like Hunter has the ability to do. Hopefully he can prove me wrong, but to me Hunter is a much better prospect and one we need, seeing as we lack that dominant receiver right now.

This is a bit excessive, don't ya think? I'd love to land Hunter, but he's nowhere near the prospect that Floyd was coming out of high school. Sure he was MVP of the Opening, but I think it's a little ridiculous to put him in the same category as ND's all-time leading receiver.

Yeah and it's even ridiculous to put him on the level of Brown right now. Right now. Could change. But Brown possesses elite physical tools that Hunter doesn't have and they are both excellent fits for Kelly's offense. Brown can go by you and over you and he has hands. I don't think Hunter has great speed at all but he has great ball skills. And you're right, Floyd was ridiculous, no real comparison at this point there.

UT buddy of mine whose father is on UT board of Execs said THjr is their main receiving target now since RSJ continues to give them the run around. Apparently Mack daddy and Augie call him pretty consistently and he has expressed serious interest in taking an official to WVU game. Also said he is worried about 3 of UT's main commits from state of TX partaking in Bama game this weekend in Arlington.

Hunter still has no offer from Texas, and Sapp and Wiltfong think UT may be too late to the Torii Hunter Jr. party. We still have a slight lead for him, but watch out for a West Coast school stealing him, with his dad playing in Anaheim. per today's Tunnel Vision.

His dad is a free agent this year. Not saying that Angels won't resign him.

Was told that if he takes an official he will get an offer..typical ultimatum from Mack. Would like to think UT is late to the party, but being a TCU graduate I know how that goes all too well.

No different than ND telling a recruit (John Turner) that if he comes to camp and runs a certain 40 time he will get a scholarship.

I think the point is that it's getting kind of late. Turner got offered in the spring and just now, this late in the process, Mack is saying if you come visit after the start of the season we'll offer. I think it is quite different, IMHO.

Do the White Sox or Cubs need an aging outfielder for 2013??

The Cubbies are ALWAYS in the market for aging outfielders.

I don't think Torii is ready to end his career quite yet... so that probably means the Cubbies are out of it.
