love lazards size way too much, think it could be the last piece to the puzzle a year or two from now in this offense.

we have big tall physical receivers....we don't have an EXPLOSIVE, take to the house type wr when he gets the ball in space

The counter argument, PANDFAN, is to look at what Mizzou did this year with big WRs. Their 3 leading WRs are all 6'4" or taller.

Mobile QB and big WRs = many options for the O

Thinking of Alshon Jeffrey & Brandon Marshall. That works okay.

2 years from now my ideal offense would be golson/ folston/GB run the ball 35-40 times a game behind this deep oline with all these tight ends, and then have Wideouts on the bigger side such as Lazard, and Robinson working and wearing down the secondary.

just out physical the living hell out of everyone.

I know those guys are bad to the bone in that offense. I ask myself on a daily basis why they went to Mizzou

100% in the realm of possibility.

Welp, have fun. Figured he wasn't going anywhere, it seems like he wanted to follow in his family's footsteps and be a star at a low profile program.

I don't get the impression that this is about being a big fish in a small pond at all, but maybe that's just me.

Why else would he stick with Iowa State if it wasn't about family and being a big fish? I doubt it's about coaching staff, Rhodes will probably be gone sooner than later unless Lazard believes he can jump start a miracle season.

He would be a big fish just about anywhere he went. He chose to follow in his family's footsteps - why is that a bad thing? And as for Rhodes - don't we always bust on kids for picking a place bases on the coaches rather than the schools? Can't have your cake and eat it too on that issue...

I, for one, admire the kid for sticking to his commitment and following in his family's educational legacy.

Oh, I admire him for sticking with his commitment, I just think it's a stupid choice ;)

I also view this situation the same way. I think it's great for a kid to honor his commitment and follow in his family's footsteps. Absolutely nothing wrong with that in my eyes.

This kid is going to come in as the savior for ISU football, will make some nice plays, and will play for sucky teams.

He's going to have a nice career in the NFL, and retire as a seed corn salesman for Pioneer.

I want to see this kid succeed. Have to respect him for sticking with his commitment. I hope he has someone that can get him the ball during his three years at ISU.
