“@TJamesNDI: RT @SWernerPG: #Pitt QB Tom Savage on NCAA targeting rule: “It stinks.” Said he didn’t think Stephon Tuitt should’ve gotten ejected for hit.”

LOL the person that took the hit doesn't even think it was the right call

Tonight's sack gives Tuitt 20. He takes over 5th Place on the All-Time ND List.

From here each additional sack will move him up one slot:

One Sack takes over 4th Place
Two takes over 3rd
Three takes over 2nd

Who's #1? And how many?

So is he staying or is he going? What's the general thought here?

As much as I'd hate to see him leave ND, I would love to see him beasting for my Minnesota Vikings next year.

Guy I talked to in admissions office yesterday believed Tuitt is leaning towards coming back FWIW.

I hope he leaves, but wouldn't mind him coming back. If you have a shot to go high, you can't pass that up. That opportunity can be life changing for your future and your family.

So can a degree from Notre Dame. It's not like the NFL won't still be there a year from now. And - while he had a pretty good second half of the year - Tuitt could actually improve his draft stock if he had a healthy 2014. Tough call.

I thought he was still projected in the 10-20 range. Obviously that can be improved upon, but it the risk worth the reward. And most ND players get there degree, before or after they leave. I assume he would follow that path.

I'd bet on him coming back. Has a chance to tremendously improve his draft stock, much like Floyd and Eifert. Every single player who could've reasonably gone pro and instead came back for another year under Kelly has progressed , improved their draft stock, and made themselves a lot of money.

Right now he's probably staring at a mid first to an early second round pick. With a good season next year matching what he did in 2012 he'd be looking at an early first grade for sure.

Lots of players come back and get a degree after/during the nfl. Clausen did it
