Dude...Golden has been doing this since he was a freshman at Notre Dame. He brought swag to a team that had none here.

Golden Tate is honestly my favorite player the last decade.

He was the most exciting player I've ever seen in college football. It's just a shame we weren't better as a team while he was at ND. He would be as legendary as Reggie Bush.

IF ND would have won three more games during his final year he prob would have won the Heisman... as it was he didn't even get invited to NY... no player had a greater impact on their team that season...

anyway... I'm not up in arms over this at all... but no one else totally face palmed when they saw it??

I almost hate to post this here.

I used to love the Seahawks, spent a lot of time "up the pass" with my cousin. Her daughter was a "Sea Gal" for several seasons. (That was the good looking side of the family.)

But today?

What I hate most about football : Teams that wear black for their uniforms, especially as a predominant color, when they have especially vivid team colors; Pete Carroll.

Agreed! Tate is probably my favorite ND player all-time. He made a few more bad years bearable. Nice to see Golden Tate as a Super Bowl champion! Hope to see him continue to improve and have a long career in the league.

I think Seattle should have held onto him. Kinda sad that Tate was one of the few Seahawk free agents that came out publicly to say "I'm willing to take a little less to stay in Seattle," and yet they weren't willing to come to terms. Glad he's getting some good money to come to Detroit though, he's worth it.

Hearing they weren't willing to offer anything near Detroit. Something like 10 million less over the same span, which considering he got in the mid-30 mil range is significant. I like him going to the Lions though. He will benefit greatly opposite Calvin Johnson, Im predicting he will have at least 1,100 yards next year and close to 10 TDs
