-Tranquill is still up in the air... likes that Jaylon got the starting nod... would have committed to ND if we offered earlier. Sources in Ft. Wayne say he's faster than Jaylon and could be a big time ILB if he develops the right way.
-They expect McKenzie to commit in October... we'll see what happens, lots of cross talk here.
-They think we still lead for Watkins and we are in Hendrix's top 3 with Arkansas and Stanford. Sounds like we could land both guys with a good visit for USC game.
-Sounds like Stanford leads for Solomon Thomas.
-Lots of info on 2015 guys.... too much to list. Maybe someone can grab it and put it in their profiles.

Stanford has a talented offensive line. David Yankey, Andrus Peat, Kevin Danser, Joshua Garnett, and Cam Fleming will have Stanford power football rolling this year.

That's not good for our recruiting. There aren't enough recruits like Thomas each year to go around. If Stanford had regressed to its pre-Harbaugh mean after his departure for the NFL, those kids you just mentioned would probably be on our roster now.

And several of the marginal (quetionable) academic/character characters that were taken instead and then exited the program wouldn't have been here to transfer.

There would have been more stability and better distribution among the classes.

We should all send letters to Blue and Gold asking they find someone knew. Call me mad or whatever but he is pathetic. He has never broke any news and lives off Wilfongs tunnel vision. It's so disrespectful to Jason Sapp because it's pure garbage to the effort he use to put into that. It's all Steve and I never even check blue and gold because there is never any information on that site. Only reason I still have it is because I can read other boards. He makes all these stupid *** predictions(Lorenzo carter, Thomas Holley, Nicolas Brossestte). He's such a ND homer with no ties to ND at all. It's only a matter of time before he predicts Fournette to ND. The way he is handling the McKenzie thing is with zero class and is a pure *** hat. I'm gonna break his hands so he can't type another word. Ive already called him out on twitter. I'm gonna send something to whoever runs blue and gold. I'm gonna have one of you guys proof read and spell check it for me first. Probably Dshans. Him and I haven't talked in a while.

Agreed. I always laughed at the incompetent homers that other networks had (USC, Michigan, Ohio State, etc.) and I truly believe Loy might be the worst of them. He panders hard, and then pats himself on the back whenever he "scoops" something. His value added is literally zero.

Any IE poster could do exactly what he does and just offer baseless predictions with little to no insight, and then post news you can get at any other outlet when it breaks.

I have been a longtime supporter of your product, partly because of how good a job Jason Sapp used to do. Mostly I subscribe to it because of all the other sites that are available, which kind of makes your site like that loose girl in high school, that hung around with all the other loose girls. You knew [see there?] that if you got in her pants, you had it made. And before long, you would have more than you could shake a stick at! But now, with Loy writing for you, it is like that girl has a STD! See what I mean????

I always thought he was a good dude filling big shoes and cut him a lot of slack. After this McKenzie episode coupled with his crystal ball predictions and the like I think he's incompetent and maybe a total tool. Never going to try to force someone out of their job, but I would unsubscribe for sure if I didn't use 247 for the other team sites.

I highly doubt that he is in some way trying to screw over the ND fan base by being bad at his job. Obviously he's not the best out there but going about it by blasting him on twitter, IMO, is in poor taste. You seem like a great guy GB but I definitely think you could have went about this in a better fashion. You can very easily send private messages to any 247 member you would like. I would imagine that being more productive.

Yes. It's really nice. I use 247 95% for the national outlook and reading other team articles on our targets, and 5% for Wiltfong.

I'd be a lot more sympathetic to him if he was honest about his situation: "Sapp left big shoes for me to fill. It'll take time for me to develop the types of connections he had, so please be patient while I strive to provide the same level of service. Per Wiltfong, here's what we're hearing on..."

Instead, he: (1) pretends to an insider status he clearly doesn't have; (2) tries to pass off Wiltfong's info as his own; and (3) makes baseless CB predictions in a facile effort to curry favor with the less discerning recruitniks in our fan base. No one likes having smoke blown up their ***, Loy.

I don't think Loy is so bad. He loses some credibility by being too much of a homer, imo. And he comes across as kind of a loser because he seems to want too much for subscribers to like him. But he strikes me as a hard-working, conscientious, diligent reporter. I have been considering switching to ISD for a long time but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Loy's been behind on some stuff, but I just kinda feel like he'll be good as he continues to learn the ropes of getting info at ND.

Another thing people should keep in mind is that BGI was the last to recognize the Jamel James commitment last cycle, too, and Loy wasn't even there then. The insistence on waiting for confirmation of info about academics may come from above Loy.
