Wasn't there a show on Comcast cable that followed Long Beach Poly through a season? I watched it on On-Demand. They take football VERY serious there. It is bugging the SH!T out of me because I cant think of the name of that documentary!

Redfield -- JuJu
Luke -- Shumate -- Grace -- Smith -- Williams -- Russell
Tuitt -- (?) -- Day

I really think Shumate could learn the dog. And his athleticism would rival that of the way Jaylon plays.

I could see Jaylon being able to play an inside LB position in a way similar to Manti ( a little bit of everything).

LOOK AT THE ATHLETICISM!!!!

I don't think you'll see Shumate switch positions again. He's already had a hard enough time learning Safety it seems like a waste to move him and would probably set him back.

BK said after the ASU game that Jaylon is and always will play outside in, which means he'll always be playin on the edge. DOG or CAT.

Well, Kelly did say that the staff was not going to "change his eyes" by moving Jaylon into the middle, but I had the impression that he meant just not this year. The quote was in response to a question about moving Jaylon into the MLB position in the dime package now that Grace was hurt (apparently confirming that Ishaq was never supposed to be on the field in that package and was only out there because Grace was hurt?). I didn't take it to mean that Jaylon might not move around in future seasons. That was just how I understood it.

Not that it would likely make an impact, but if you are looking for depth, big John Turner is the safety who I think should get moved to DOG.

Yes, I agree. I've thought he'd make a good LB since before he signed.

Jaylon belongs on the outside. ILB would limit a lot of his athleticism. Jaylon is not a run stuffer, he is a coverage, set the edge, and rush the passer type of player. That is perfect for OLB. I still dont see why people want to move him inside just to "replace" Teo. Teo is more power, Jaylon is more speed, they are a different type of LB. Jaylon BELONGS on the outside.

Honestly, I'm not to excited about his comments. He was 'blown' away by OSU. Who knows at this point.

I agree. He said OSU and ND both had great facilities but it comes down to academics. I feel good about his comments.
