I see us playing 3 down linemen, 2 OLBs, and 6 DB's. (Grace isn't up for this track meet) Defense shuts them down causing four TOs. Offense rushes for 300 (TF goes for 140). TR protects the ball and doesn't throw 12 fades out of bounds. ND 30 ASU 6
I'll have what you're having.
On paper we should get destroyed... something like 45-28.
But this might be one of those games where you throw logic out the window. If we use at least 50% Hendrix I'll take us winning 35-33.
HA! He is just as one dimensional as Tommy. I'd rather have the "intelligent passer" than the"glorified wildcat."
With all the predictions of losing and blowouts it looks like i will be avoiding this thread come kick off.
My theory is if the entire game plan is to run the ball, why not have the guy handing it off have a value added with his running ability? Having Rees sit back there and hand it off gives them a lot less to think about.
I just hate how Hicks is Captain Obvious. For example, OU scored to make it 14-0 and Hicks says "So Notre Dame has the ball at the 20 looking to cut into this lead". Really Dan? Wtf else would they be trying to do?
Hope to God I'm wrong.
LMAO I feel you, but I'll take Captain Obvious over a dude who can't pronounce the home team's players.
As for predictions - I had this as our 1st loss going into the season. I figured it for the classic trap game, between OU and SC. Now, I'm not sure if it qualifies as a trap fame anymore. My gut tells me we don't win, but my gut also had us jailsexing UM. Well, I don't want to be a hypocrite so I'm gonna stick to my guns - ND loss by 3 scores. Hope to God I'm wrong.

This! I've followed the game day threads for the first time this season and the last few weeks have been unbearable. I'm going to do myself a favor and just stay away tonight.
As for a game prediction...ND plays their best game of the season and pulls away in the 4th for a 10+ point victory.

There's nothing glorified about Tommy Reese!! It will be a blow out if he takes more then half the snaps. Anyone who thinks our D will stop ASU Offense is delusional.
I can't take anyone seriously when they can't even spell a player's name correctly.
Agree 100% bro. I don't see any possible scenario where ASU wins this game. ND plays well=blowout, ND plays crappy=close win.
WGAF!! It don't make the statement any less true.
ASU runs 81 plays per game.
So our D will pretty much be gassed late in the game. Unless we can somehow manage long drives and keep putting up points...run the ball!!
ASU's defense is short. Only one player, #95 Gannon Conway, 6-4, is over 6-1. The backers average about 6 foot and one half inch. The secondary averages under 6 foot.
Niklas, Koyack (remember him) and Robinson have a considerable height advantage.
The TE who can't catch?

IMHO everyone who is predicting a win needs to temper their expectations. If we all go into this game with the mindset that we are the 6.5 point underdog that we are, the meltdown will be much less unbearable tonight if we lose. If we win, we will all be happy!
