Send Diaco to USC to be the head coach, put Martin back on defense, bring back Charlie Weis to call the offensive plays, and let's slaughter USC for the years to come.

As of 9/29/13 Sagarin had USC a 1.76 favorite on a neutral field.

ND gets 4.24 for HFA making ND a 2.5 pt favorite.

With ND's win over ASU, ND will pick up a little bit more.

But USC has a Thursday night game where they can trim it back.

I believe this is another team that we match up well against. I just hope our guys aren't over confident. And it just goes to show that when you get constant pressure it helps our overall defense some.

USC is terrible. I don't think we are particularly great, but I like us in a rout. I don't get where any level of concern about this game would come from.

USC = USC = Traditional Power/Pain in the ***

USC - Lane Kiffin = Better USC = Bigger Pain in the ***

That would be my guess.

Anytime you play a team that has some pretty talented kids you have to bring your A game. If they happen to put it all together on any single night, it could spell trouble.

plenty to worry about against USC;

they have an above average/really good defense. They can be effective without blitzing. If they watch game tape on ND, and do alot of rushing 3 and dropping 8, then there is gonna be trouble.

their offense is all about about quick, short passes - more trouble

plus Lane Kiffin is gone, which means their play calling will be significantly better - more trouble

matchup wise, I think ND has a problem.

They are terrible lately, but they've got a lot of talent. If their new coach gets them to play like they mean it and we come out flat and/or regress, they could certainly be trouble. I hope not, though. Last thing I want to be is part of USC's redemption story.

If they drop 8 we'll probably run the ball down their throat. Not concerned about that

I'm not a fan of having to play a team backed into a corner like USC is, especially with the talent they have. They did themselves a favor canning Kiffin and I can see them going on an absolute tear the rest of the year.

I could see USC being an improved team without KIffin, but go on a "tear"? I don't see it. Their quarterbacks are still garbage as fvck and they gave up 62 points to ASU.

I know it's USC, it's a rivalry, and anything can happen but don't forget our team has just as much talent

I'll never take a rivalry game for granted, EVER. No matter the record. However if we lose to this USC team I will be severely pissed. This is a very beatable USC team.

i've never been more happy to have a bye week

coming off a big win...chance to get healthy and find ILB help and an extra week to prepare for our biggest home game this year

hope we can get it done and look good doing it, but i'll settle for just getting it done if i have to :)

Let's not forget that we barely beat them last year, with their backup quarterback and our better quarterback and them being in a tailspin and us playing for a title shot and all that.

I hate this argument, you are basically saying all of USC's players gained more talent and experience while ND players have all leveled out. Its not a one way street homie

At their place and them having a chance to spoil our nation title bid?

I don't care who is your coach, you'd play up for that.

not to mention we were in control of that game from start to finish

I hate that our own fans say we barely beat them. Even after that 80 yard desperation bomb, if they score a touchdown instead of being stuffed, we're still in the lead late in the 4th quarter with a running game that's kicking their *ss.
