I think Folston represents huge upside. I also think that he represents a little bit od a "flight risk" if he doesn't get his reps or his chance to prove himself. A want Amir to be our premier back this season but not sure of his ability to take the pounding of an every down back. Being the smallest of the group not sure he can provide the pass-blocking that will be necessary. Folston is competitive and one tough &%$@! Slot and special teams. I think GB will be carrying the load by the OU game...IMO.

To keep the thread on point, I'm still dumbfounded every time we hear a 2 minute interview from a recruit and we deem him a high character, RKG.

A guy like Manziel probably sounded awesome in his recruiting interviews. Public speaking/interview skills has nothing to do with character/integrity/RKG-ness.

Now carry on yolo-ing!

Edit: can mod move this to kool-aid thread?

This is the critical point, I think, that people who see Amir as a featured rb this year are overlooking. With a relatively immobile QB (to put it lightly), the rb's MUST be able to pass block effectively, and there's just no way that at Amir's size he can even slow down a blitzing lb, much less a D-lineman.

Someone didn't give that memo to MJD (5'7" 210 as a pro) when Merriman (6'4" 261) was blitzing:

Blocking is and always will be about attitude and technique.

Tuitt looked slow and out of shape on that rep. I hope he can lost about 15 pounds until the Temple game.

GAIII and Cam (the dude flat out gets through traffic) both looked good running through the line, and all the WRs are starting to look like surgeons running their routes. Also, Tommy was doing nice hitting those sideline routes.

Swear to god I can't tell the difference between Jaylon and Ishaq.

Also Rochell has looked good in the couple clips we have seen.

This. Look like clones, Jaylon just a bit more trim.

Tommy had the throws right on target and after the break. Looks promising.

This was the biggest takeaway I got from the clip, hey looked great. Oh and Ishaq got beat twice, once by Troy Niklas I believe. That's either a good sign for Troy or an omen for Ishaq.

GAIII even showed flashes of... dare I say it?.... good pad level.

These videos are such a tease haha. Just get me so hyped for some football! But damn the recievers routes look excellent and tommy looked good too. As far as tuitt, hes still got a few weeks of camp if the coaches want him to lose some weight im sure theyll get him down so i wouldnt worry.

Tuitt's rep was against ZMart --- since almost no one beats ZMart [as Kelly said: he graded out in the 90s last year] this does not bother me. I was a bit more shocked by Rochell, I believe, making Elmer completely whiff. I hope that this means that Rochell is just lightning quick. [If he's that good, he easily plays this year].

Eric Hanson specifically mentioned Rochell as a pleasant "spring surprise" during today's chat. He said many expected him to redshirt, but that he may force his way into the 2-deep by August if he keeps turning heads in practice.

Even though it is literally only one rep, I agree. It looks like Stephon is still carrying a little spring weight.

Martin is. But cmon dude. The guy that ran back the fumble against Navy doesn't physically look like the guy in the video. Also, this is from a complete physical standpoint. Skill wise I'm not versed enough to decide if he looks less speedy.

This is the problem with these videos. It's like the spring game...am I happy because one did well, or worried because the other didn't do well? Always tough to tell.

This is what has worried me, even though people say we shouldn't be worried because the weight listed COULD have been from the spring roster. When the players were walking to the Gug the morning of the spring game, I drove by and saw Tuitt and I couldn't believe how big his gut was. But when we heard about his surgery I was fine with it cause he had plenty of time to work it off.

But when his weight came out, and then when the practice video came out, he still looked big to me...not the masked man we saw vs. Navy. I went to that live Power Hour from ISD the other day and asked a question about his weight, and they all agreed that it was alarming when they saw that #. But most people also agree that he can work it off in camp (and at that age, working out every day, they are absolutely right). I'm not worried yet per se, but I would like to see him at about 310 (that's what he told our barber he would be at by the season...this was in early July) by the Temple game, if possible.

Having said that, I think he'll be fine...

Last summer Tuitt posted on twitter everyday that he was trying to get a six pack before the season. He pretty much had it to.
