Isn't that the message board way? One interview and the guy is "all class." Gives a verbal, is a RKG.
There's more jumping to conclusions than a jump rope competition at an Al Gore global warming summit.
Sometimes. It would be interesting to analyze recruits for "our willingness to jump to conclusions." I bet the results would be interesting.
Case in point. I don't know many that had high character things to say about Theo Riddick when he started at ND. Even to his senior year. But the way he played down the stretch, and handled himself when his heart was snatched at the NC game. That is a guy that proved out in the long run. But I remember a commitment conversation with a certain player under a gazebo, in South Bend, with his mother, and people were saying, "What a fine, well spoken young man . . ."
DUDE SHUT UP.
Great post Westcoast.
You know I love you Grey, but do you think you react a little too strongly some time? I definitely think that you are better when you first reply with one of your humor bombs. Then is when you are really rolling.
I don't want to clog this thread up, or re-hash issues, but often times a poster may have something outside of this site going on and for that it is best to respond with humor. We don't any of us know. I was frustrated as two of my favorite posters have been getting upset with the way people have responded, or over responded to their posts.
Take it from me. I haven't told anyone this, but I just recently won sole custody of my youngest children, in a situation where their safety and wellbeing was a stake, and then I thought I had a terminal illness. Turns out I just got 90% good news, not entirely out of the woods yet, but I am going to be bothering you guys for a while, it looks. The point is, it shouldn't take that to see that what bothers some posters is all the other stuff that surrounds the "real life" we all have, and don't necessarily bring to the forum. That is why I believe we should accord everybody with an extra chance every time. By all means don't let b.s. stand, but don't react by jumping all over a mistake like it is a federal case! Just my humble opinion.
