IIRC, Ned has a conversation with Robert Baratheon where Robert mentions that Ned had previously told him it was a woman named Wylla (or something like that).

You are correct, it was in season one, episode 2 or 3. Ned and the King Robert were talking on the way to Kings Landing and Robert ask what the girls name is, and Ned said Wylla. Then he says something to effect of he will not talk about her.

No Stoneheart, no Cold Hands, no "Valar Morghulis" in Salt Pans. The weakest of sauce.

It's almost like they went out of their way not to put anything cool in S3E10. So much exposition between the Lannisters, Davos and Gendry, etc.

I can't believe there's no Coldhands yet, especially after the ravens.

Blahh such a lame ending to an otherwise great season.

I get killed every time I say this but they need to cut the budget per episode, and give us 15 episodes a season. 10 simply is not enough time to get through everything. I dont care if I only get to see dragons or direwoves every other episode I want more content!

For reals.

And what the hell was that Austin-Powers musical number with Khaleesi crowd surfing?? That's supposed to be the final scene of the finale? Come on.

I thought it was a good episode, When Grey Joy said his name was Reek I felt so bad for him. This series has a way of taking someone you hate and making you like them. I never thought I would feel bad for Grey Joy after what he did to the Starks.

My name is Reek, poor guy.

He gave it two good tries, then threw in the towel, lol. I almost thought he'd keep saying Greyjoy in hopes that he would die from the pummeling.

The Stannis thing is bothering me, which is a huge point of contention between readers and non-readers. We are all pretty much pro-Stannis, maybe not want him on the Iron Throne, but he's principled and just. Show watchers don't seem to like him at all. On the show he's some asshat infatuated with Mel and her fire god. They make it seem like Mel told him to go North, instead of Davos! They are playing the good/bad between Davos and Mel, but they better redeem Stannis in short order. While he can be gruff, the overall character is fair. The character assassination with Stannis bothers me much more than any other character in the series, even Cat wishing she could've loved Jon Snow. They whitewashed the hell out of her, but I get that more than Stannis.

“Lord Seaworth is a man of humble birth, but he reminded me of my duty, when all I could think of was my rights. I had the cart before the horse, Davos said. I was trying to win the throne to save the kingdom, when I should have been trying to save the kingdom to win the throne.”

Also, no Coldhands? You don't have to cast anyone since all you have to do is dress them up and put them on a mount. A mysterious figure North of the Wall, guiding Sam to the Nightfort, would have been a great way to leave people talking. Then Coldhands taking Bran, Hodor, and the Reeds would've been another element next season, especially when they have a famous delicacy beyond the Wall...crow.

You could've even had Balon bite the dust yesterday and then recap with the leeches. There were so0o0o0o many options and instead went for some **** Dany scene. Maybe I'm bitter from Mereen, but ending the season with Dany like that was ****. The episode was good, but I was expecting a great ending, and the lack of one really ruined the entire episode.

I too am starting to like/feel bad for Theon. I was never a huge Daenarys fan in the books and the show is making me like her even less.

They could have also included the major Jorah scene towards the end. Give us something!

Theon murdered two innocent farm boys and turned his back on the Starks. I wish they fed him his own **** instead of sending it to his daddy. They can't torture him enough as far as I'm concerned.

To be fair, it's pretty understandable why he's so conflicted though, correct? I'm not justifying his actions but he never had a place to call his own, never anywhere he belonged. He'd never be Ironborn after living in the Green Lands for so long, and he'd never be a Stark because he was just a prisoner.

Understandable? Yes. Does he deserve what's happening to him now? In my mind, yes. I don't feel bad for him. I will admit, leading him to believe he was going to get laid and then cutting off his **** was pretty cruel.

Once you understand where someone is coming from you can start to empathize. I don't condone what he did, but I understand why he did, after being in such a difficult position. He's suffered for his crimes, he just deserves death at this point. However, if I was the miller, I'd make it a worse time for him than what Ramsay is doing to him.

This is pretty much how I feel.

Also, he was thrust into a situation where he was Lord of a city during wartime. You can't necessarily fault him too much for just doing what his advisors said to do, not to mention acting like every other wartime lord he'd ever known, including his dad, (and his fake-dad to a certain extent).

He chose to sack Winterfell against orders because he was jealous of his sister. He was hardly thrust into the position. I'm empathetic towards his circumstances. That does not mean I like or feel bad for him. I don't expect everyone to share that opinion.

Theon merely captured Winterfell (with minimal bloodshed). Ramsey razed it.

have to say, the casting people for GOT have abslutely "hit out of the park" on actor/actress selection for just about every single character...wouldnt you all agree?

only one im not entriely thrilled with was Ygritte...
