They are still going after Derrick Green who has said he likes OSU but isn't sure if their offense suits his style of play.

Taquan Mizzell also.

They certainly haven't stopped recruiting RBs.
Derrick Green is the power RB for this class. He would've committed already if the staff wants him. With Hyde, Smith and Dunn also classified as power RB's, Green is a luxury we don't need. Whether we save a schollie for Green depends on how many schollies we have in the end on February 2013. So the staff is slow playing Green.

On top of that, we have Hall and Ball who are possible players for the Percy Harvin position, which is where Elliott is being recruited for, not the power RB position.

Also, Mizzell is not being recruited full go by the staff. I don't know where you got the info. It is wrong, as far as I know.

Half of the ****ing 2013 recruiting class is being recruited for this position.

11 warriors. I also didn't say they were recruiting full go, but they are still recruiting both of them.

I'm shocked to hear of another recruit that would have committed to osu if urban wanted him. How long will it take you guys to realize it doesn't work like that?

Thanks for the info but I'm kinda tired of hearing that (the bolded statement) from OSU fans, seems every time there is a recruiting battle and OSU loses we hear that

It's not like Green is some :s::s::s: that OSU is his dream school or best offer, he is one of the top RBs in the country and I'm sure Urban would love to have him right now.

I've never said that for every recruit. There were losses. Hunter Bivin, Jaylon Smith, Heuerman were all losses. They did have committable offers. Same thing with Pocic, Tuley-Tillman and the OL from Colorado, I forgot his name.

Malik Zaire, on the other hand, didn't have a committable offer, so he wasn't a loss. The staff wanted him to show up at camp and showcase his skills, but he didn't want to do that. I know you don't want to hear that, but it is what it is.

Green goes back to the times of Tressel. He attended camp at tOSU, won the MVP there. He had been very high on tOSU for a while, but the new staff slow played him. He then named Clemson as the leader. If you have been closely following his recruitment, you would know that his heart is at tOSU. I still hope he ends up there, but don't think he will with the scholarship restrictions and emphasis on DB's for the 2013 class.

I think just about everyone knows that is (mostly) accurate. We were talking in generalities.... because the part that was bolded was in no part related to Malik Zaire and was instead related to Derrick Green/in general. It is comical to watch OSU boards get all excited for some guy to pick them and then the minute he doesn't try to say "well, he must not be good, because if he was good and Urban wanted him we would have had him." It's this kind of circular logic that makes us laugh at your boards. And don't pretend it isn't there.

Fixed it for you. Oh yeah, FUM (Columbus and Ann Arbor versions).

You are probably right, all Urban has to do is open the gate when the time is right and they will come in like stray dogs.

Freaking joke.

So we cannot agree about who was a recruiting victory over tOSU; all we can agree on is anyone who does not sign with UM doesn't have a committable offer.

Or they aren't good enough. Remember, Jaylon plays weak competition and isn't as good as the services say he is. At least to a trusted OSU scout anyways.

Ant,

In your opinion, what is the purpose for slow playing Green, if that is indeed what is happening. Is it in case EE decomitts or is it in case pOSU has additional scholarships available. If it's the second, would you risk losing EE by going after Green.

Come on, relax GB (and GITF). He has been a very respectful OSU fan who is bringing insight from another fanbase to the board, which is a service I actually believe we need sometime. No need to post sarcastic gifs for everything he posts as his opinion. I'm sure their fans could do the same thing to ND fans. He hasn't said or done anything wrong here.

If 'Zeke Elliot decommitted from Ohio State for Notre Dame, I don't think I would know any words in the English language to succinctly portray how much joy it would bring me.

Good God, recruit more RB's Urban Meyer!

Not true on Green. Mizzel is being slightly slow played but they would accept his committment. Little birdie told me this last weekend. TP can vouch for me if need be. OSU wants these guys.
