Ebenezer Ogundeko at Florida camp and was interviewed a reporter stating Notre Dame is his #1 even after his Florida Summer Camp. He likes what ND has to offer and the ability to play DE and LB, said he likes the 3-4 def and the ability to rush off the end.

Promising sign for us to land Ebenezer, just need to get him back on campus.

Why would we ever lose a football player to Syracuse? What do they have that we don't except more losses and more snow?
Hopefully Ishaq can tell this kid what's what. But, yeah, if he's got serious SEC interest this one might go down to the wire.

A dome on their feild.

Kids from NY LOVE 'Cuse, they are #2 in my heart. They have a great tradition, a huge fanbase (being the only BCS caliber team in NY), and it's a great school. Maybe he wants to be a sports announcer or be on the radio. They upgraded their facilities and their football program is on the rise. Doug Marrone is a way better coach than Greg Robinson (not to mention they beat us 2 out of the last 3 times we played them). If he chooses Syracuse I personally wouldn't be suprised.

I can't believe you are bringing up the worst loss of one of the worst teams in ND history as an example as a quality Syracuse win.

As far as reasons for choosing them, (1) big fish in little pond, (2) instate, (3) quality coach with good values.

I can't find anything saying that we are his #1 post-Florida visit. I just ask because I'm a member of every ND site except for Scout. So, I'm always curious when I see something stated that doesn't appear on any site I'm on.

But also TT, you shouldn't feel compelled to do the poster's work.

I will retract what I said earlier. I am glad he is committing this month. He may be a bit harder to keep, but he seems worth the risk,

Care to elaborate?

None of those sources say that ND is #1 following his visit to Florida. The only articles saying we are his #1 are from before his Florida visit. The only articles since his Florida visit (that are posted here and that I have seen) don't say who his #1 is.

Rivals seems to think ND is the clear leader.

His interest in ND is the only one listed as high.

So this gets questioned as true when Philly said this yesterday. If they think we lead, then hopefully we do.

Per 247: Top 3 or ND Syracuse and UF. Visiting or visited UF this weekend. Will decide by the end of June.

Kid has Decommit written all over him.

I am too. And let's not forget, this staff has done as fine a job as possible of having back up plans in place. Weis used to get burnt, this staff is much harder to burn. Now, if all of the DB's start tweeting ridiculous crap, perform poorly on an ACT, and choose Florida and Florida State at the last minute...then we're in a bind. haha

The current commits have been going out of their way to build a real bond this year. We didn't really see that last year.

Then take into account that he decommitted from Connecticut because he blew up as a prospect, now that he knows he is a highly valued person, the choice is different. There won't be any powerhouses knocking on his door bigger than the likes of Alabama, so that buzz has passed. The only worry I have is if we have a 6-6 type of season.

I feel like we've had a lack of players with tough to pronounce names, so he would be a big get.

I have absolutely no idea where the logic is here, but that said I couldn't agree more! This would give something else for Hammond to screw up! Speaking of Hammond, is he real?

I never said anything about a "quality Syracuse win" did I?...I said that because the person I replied to said Syracuse had more losses and more snow. Just reminding him of our recent history with Syracuse, and for them, beating ND @ ND stadium is a quality win no matter how bad that team was.

IMO he commits to ND but the real question is how long will that commit last?

Kid has ND in the lead and very few people seem excited by it. I don't get it. I, for one, would love to land this guy.

You're right, but As an ND fan, there are a few games that I would prefer to never to hear about again, and that is one of them. I felt the need to give you a hard time for reminding me about it. Syracuse is really trying to get football back on track, and their current coach seems like a good guy with big plans.

As far as EO, he seems to have been pretty consistently high on us from the moment he got an offer, but NDNation is still sore from last year's decommitts. I would love to land this kid and hope he chooses ND. But I also hope the staff is cooling kids down about committing before they feel 100%. But even then it's not over until it's over. We'll see...

Everyone would love to have him but he seems like he would decommit at some point because he is impressed by other schools easily

He hasn't publicly changed a leader since we started recruiting him so he is not IMO like Ryan Green.

- After we offered per 247 we led
- Then after all the offers came in it was just a top 10
- Then he visited two of his favorites, UF & ND, from the beginning and decided, along w/ the hometown team Syracuse, he had a top 3 w/ one team out in front, ND
