Remind me not to go to Spain!

Don't go to Spain. Consider yourself reminded. The #FlushTide fans will inevitably come up w something to denegrate our Lady (it may take a while, but they will). Imagine the anger on this board when we see #FlushingIrish.

Very Funny hashtag but a little bit dumb and classless, you can do it better, Elijah. It is especially absurd when we have been destroyed by them in the NC. Our true rivalries are USC, Michigan.. not Bama. Inferiority complex. It's only a joke from a teenager but i understand if Bama fans feel "disappointed".

How so?!! This is a kid who can go just about anywhere in the country for college, INCLUDING ALABAMA! Lighten up, Francis. lol I keep reading the above post thinking I was missing the italics, but no...he serious.

He has not an offer from Alabama, can't go there. anyway i meant that i do not understand why had to be Bama, he is representing ND and i do not understand why he mentions Bama after that NCG loss, current situation and because they are not our rivals. Maybe I would be more understanding if it was USC or Michigan. We should forget Alabama and look forward, i would love if one day he **** Bama on the field and not on vine or how it call

Tuley-Tillman did the same last year and he was criticized here. Throw a letter of interest to the toilet is just silly and thankless. You can show your love or commitment with university like Jaylon did when Michigan coaches visited him, thanking them for the interest but saying the golden domer is not going anywhere.

Sent the link to the vine to a couple friends who live/work at Auburn and they both said its a good thing Elijah lives in Charlotte, or he'd be getting bricks thrown threw his front window.

That is sop in the south; a KKKish thing to do!

We are talking about three different things here. I liken EH's drive by flushing more to Chris Zorich's punch out of the Miami player before the game, (which started a famous brawl.)

I think this whole episode is genius; could EH be so savvy that he can manipulate the media before they start the two weeks of "ND can't keep recruits, the wheels are falling off!" that would logically follow the EV affair, as reporters with nothing worthwhile to say, scramble to capitalize on the story?

Y'all have no idea how bad of an idea this was from the point of view of the Alabama fans ..... although I think it is hilarious, people down here are already pretty pissed. Even the journalists are taking it seriously. Offended is not a word I can use to describe their reaction. My Alabama family have been blowing me up this morning.

As I have said before racism is subversive down here but it is still very much a reality. Bricks through windows would be the least of Elijah's problems. I would not be surprised to hear of some repercussions in the near future. I hope not and its good he lives in Charlotte.

In regards to my post yesterday, it was wrong and very disrespectful to Alabama. My attempt at humor was immature, and wrong I'm sorry.

Seriously, can people lighten the **** up? The kid was having fun. Funny how there wasn't a national call to arms when that Michigan kid burned his OSU letter. I guess if its a heated rival then its OK?

We are way too tight assed about stupid stuff.

So are you guys going to tell me black Alabama fans aren't upset about it? It's all immediately just the white folks who are "going to get him"?

Granted, it's ridiculous for any fans of any race to threaten him over what was obviously a joke. But just look at the tasteless tweets Vanderdoes received and some of the posts on this very site regarding that issue and you can see that this is the mindset of our country over all. It is a "Your team uber alles" mentality that causes the violence.

Just ask Kanyeyoufeelt's friend who got attacked simply for wearing a Yankees hat or any ND fans who brave a trip to that whore Ann Arbor.

So the world would rather this kid make a fake public apology?

one day some middle east president is going to make a joke about USA in a tweet and it's going to start a World War.

Why does everyone act like Bama is some communist ruler that is going to have Elijah terminated for this?

You want real humor? Ask the Bama fans to read that letter instead.

I think it was childish and if he was my kid he'd be getting a serious talking to. I'm glad they're having him call Saban to apologize because this should be a teaching moment.

If an academic institution is sending you letters asking you to join their program, you don't insult them. It's not about losing to Bama, it's not about ROI, and it's not about being committed to Notre Dame. It's about having manners and being respectful.

Saban should apologize to Elijah for disrespecting his commitment to ND. The whole recruiting game is a joke.

Here's what bullshit:

1. **** Saban for sending committed recruits mail in the first place. I know we do it too, but how on earth can you be mad at a recruit for "disrespecting" Alabama.... when Alabama is filling up his mailbox with junk mail when HE TOLD THEM MONTHS AGO HE WASN'T INTERESTED AT ALL. Which leads me to....

2. On 12/05/12, Alabama visited Elijah at school and Elijah told them not to waste their time (actually instructed his HS coach to) because he had zero interest and they don't offer the education he wants. So we're supposed to feel sorry for Alabama who has disrespected his wishes and continued sending him junk mail for six months?

3. If someone did this to ND, we'd all be 'mad'... but then we'd move right along. So I get initial Alabama reaction... but they also need to grow the **** up.

Lighten up a little. As a Bama fan I found it pretty hilarious. Kid was having a moment.... he wasn't breaking any laws. Besides, the only Bama fans that are pissed off is the ones without indoor plumbing. They are simply jeolous.

I knew that it wouldn't be a popular opinion but it's mine. My parents hate Alabama and they would be mortified to see me post this online. It just shows a lack of respect IMO. It's not a big deal, he's in high school and he's young, and he thought it would be funny. But my parents would've set me down and carefully explained how childish and stupid that was and would've had me call or write Saban to apologize.

Hilarious. I love the jabs back and forth over grad rates. Life without a little trash talk is hardly worth living.

Is it just me or does bama have one of the more disrespectful fan bases going anyway? I understand EH is a player and not a fan, but come on... tea bag people on camera, poison trees (and my experience has been more than enough seem to think THOSE are funny jokes) and I honestly don't think I've come across many bases that are as myopic and insulting towards ND... just my two cents…

but the good lord forbid anything be done/said against G'ole bamer...

with all that said, he shouldn't have done it... but give me a break on their butthurt...
