I think I threw 14' in middle school. I can't even imagine throwing almost 60'. Sheesh.

He want to do field at ND?

His Shot Put is better than anybody in the Big East this year.

I may be wrong on this but I think the NCAA uses a heavier shot than in high school (12 vs. 14 lbs). Though that may be high school vs. Olympic (IAAF).

Either way it is still impressive. The kid is very dedicated. Throwing it 60 feet isn't just a feat of strength but technical ability borne from practice.

I'm not totally sure, but I think a HS shot is 12lbs, and college is 16?

Well I will just go hide in shame for not knowing diddly about track & field at any level...

It does jump from 12 to 16.

Before we go off anointing him Olympic shot put champion, 59' is verrrry nice. But 65' is the "incredible" standard. Neither his discus or shot put throws would have won Ohio in any division.

Again, just so we don't downgrade Hunter's accomplishments: His shot is comparable to the best in Michigan, and in California there is one kid who is out of sight, four others very slightly ahead and four more the same. Hunter is a stud.... period.

Bivin Dream About To Come True

In 4-5 years, Bivin will be considered the best OL to come out of this class. I love that he's starting off at Center.

Bivin is definitely going to be one of my favorites but from everything I've read Elmer could end up being a future 1st round draft pick and 4 year starter. Thats going to be hard for Bivin to beat. So my pick is Elmer will be the best.

I agree Elmer is going to be a stud, 4-year starter (if we can keep redshirt on him) and higher draft pick than Bivin mainly due to OT being more highly coveted in the draft than Centers. But, Bivin was more highly ranked than Elmer by 247 and composite and he is more versatile (can play all 5 positions). He will also be a 4-year starter and has a nasty disposition. He was also elected captain of both all-star teams he played for (Team USA and UA).

This is a little but like debating who's better Chamberlain or Russell especially since neither have played a game in college but I'll leave you with this. II, reported that the ND staff told them that Elmer was the best Olineman prospect that they've scouted since at ND and maybe ever. Thats saying something.

Russell!!! No doubt. Silly debate. They are both going to be huge pieces for us moving forward.

Between this cycle and last cycle the two best OL prospects have been without a doubt (1A) Quinton Nelson and (1B) Steve Elmer. Both look to be potential high level draft picks if they develop correctly. The second tier IMO would comprise of Bivin, Montelus, and Bars (although you could put in an argument for any of the other 4 OL LOI/commits. With the possibility of Braden Smith/Damien Mama/other elites, you could be talking borderline Bama level OL in the future.

Also can't forget Ronnie Stanley (stud)

We have so many men rolling in, opponents are going to be slow getting up in the second half!

Is Malik not wearing shoes to increase the effect? He looks tiny in relation. Like Kevin Hart at the Celebrity All Star Game

Well Malik is only 6'!", compared to Bivin who is like 6'6". So it seems about right

The order they're standing in is fairly accurate of the positions they'll play on the line.
Starting with Elmer at left tackle.
