Good for them. Glad to the sanctions haven't killed their spirits. But I would think it is easy to negative recruit versus them with the lack of bowl games.

Also glad to see Stanford's chance take a hit- as long as it doesn't lead him to UM.

I think the cooling between parties was mutual. I've gotten the sense that we resigned from this recruitment a couple months back.

Michigan is his childhood favorite. Also liked Miami and USC growing up.

I remember this early post on JP's profile by Golden. Since then, have not been keeping up with his recruitment. Every one of those teams he grew up liking, as an ND fan, I grew up despising. Not surprised we are out of this, but maybe he'll have a change of heart... and go to Rutgers.

Unfortunately, especially for Miami, through the years they have had no problems trading their academic cache for on the field success. It's really sad, and if I was someone who worked my *** off to be accepted/graduate I would be beyond pissed.
