It actually would have been for birdie. I forgot that he laid up his second from the pine straw.

Tiger handled that 15th tragedy well. His drop shot for his 5th was a thing of beauty which took a ton of concentration to pull off. He had a 2 foot Birdie robbed and got rewarded with a Bogey. That kind of mental strength to keep it together is what makes him so good. Saturday will be a fun day to watch.

3 strokes back with 36 holes to go constitutes Tiger being in trouble? It's not optimal, but he is certainly in good position. Jason Day will not stay on top.

Tiger has only had the 2nd round lead at the Masters once. 1997

He's close, we'll see. The leader board is as strong as I remember. Lot's of young guys who can go low. Tiger is going to have to remember how to play like he's 21 again.

Going to be fun.

Lots of talk out there from rules officials and touring pros that are saying Tig's drop on 15th hole might be illegal. I think the issue is that he dropped two yards back from where the original shot was, but that wasn't on the same line where the ball went in.

I think a decision will be given tomorrow morning. The scorecard is signed, but he can still be dinged I think.

Penalizing anyone for slow play at a major is kind of a joke. I've never been to one that players weren't standing around waiting to play at almost every hole.

It could just be me hoping, but I think Tiger tears up the course tomorrow.

Me too. But there is more stuff coming out that he MIGHT be disqualified. That drop shot is an issue, and because he signed the scorecard you are automatically disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.

How can they DQ him for signing an incorrect scorecard if it is a vague rule? It's all subject to interpretation. This is so stupid.

Yep, just woke up and turned on CNN....first thing I heard. If they boot him, they boot 30% of their viewer's. Reading the rule, IMHO he was with in the guidelines. It all comes down to interpretation.

haven't you heard yet? Augusta is real diverse nowadays, they have a woman member even.

So basically the unlucky bounce on 15 cost him 4 strokes? Wow.

Tiger just made a mistake on the course. Rules are rules and he will deal with it. I like his response on Twitter. Says he thought he was correct in his drop, committee disagrees, and he accepts their ruling. He has too much respect for the game and especially the folks at Augusta to argue. He handled this well. Now, he just needs to come out firing and go low on "moving day".
