Whoa. That is just insane. Literally. You should report it to the police . Im so sorry you would have to go through that.

At the end of the day, this is just a message board relating to a game. Sad that someone would do that.

I don't know who sent you these emails, but the acts of a few (and we all know who they are), have been on TP's *** for awhile now.
Regardless of how popular they are, Mods need to take appropriate action.

I hope you report to IE Mods (to preserve the communications), as well as your local law enforcement.

Good luck TP, I think you have been a great poster sharing very good and timely information. Some didn't care for the fact that you couldn't/wouldn't be more open, which I guess is their right, but anyone resorting to threats of violence is obviously unbalanced.

Folks, to my wit, the emailer did not identify himself except to say that he reads the boards. His IP address is almost certainly contained in the email headers and TP has sent the information to the proper persons to resolve the matter. Needless to say, if there is a resolution, it will unlikely be a public one, so I do ask for your patience and understanding there.

For the perpetrator, I understand that the internet seemingly affords each of us a certain degree of anonymity and that that anonymity enables us to act on our basest impulses while shielding us from most of the consequences. And while we can separate our online personas from the person we are offline in the eyes of others, you still have to live with the fact that the same person who threatens others online is the person you have to live with and be as you walk around this world attempting to live a productive and meaningful life. The mark of a decent person is not only what he can do and has done, but also what he can do and chooses not to do. This is not me finding moral high ground; it's my inviting you to act with principle. And maybe you think yourself free of any moral consideration because this is all a joke; think on the idea that jokes can be a deflection from self-perceived weaknesses. I hope you're able to move on and look back on this as a moment of misguided judgment at most.
