Yea that guy got waxed for posting that and I couldn't find anything when I searched for it earlier today. Not sure how accurate it is but definitely wouldn't surprise me.

Read the same thing on ISD. Wouldn't surprise me but I haven't found anything concrete either. Not to mention, after Mackenzie "committing to Mississippi" and Williams "visiting ND" and Manti's "solemate dying," I don't know what's "real life" anymore.

Toughen up let's finish this.

Read on TBB on 247 that USC just offered his little sister a BBall scholarship and she's only a freshman pretty sure thats very uncommon

That ought to be an NCAA violation. Just like Saban offering Landon Collins' girlfriend a job in the Football office.

I guess it is possible to hate USC more than I already did. Ofcoarse they will pull that scholly before she ever lands on campus.

If true this is some low class BS. If I am his sister I don't want them using me like this. This almost the same as paying the kid.

Or Houston suddenly recognizing the wonderful coaching talents of a recruit's high school coach and adding him to the staff; or Kansas suddenly recognizing the extraordinary abilities of a recruit's father and adding him to their staff.

ROFLMMFAO!!!!

I played HS ball in SW Fla(same school as Noel Devine, Jevon Kearse, and Deion Sanders) my a$$ was soaked with sweat before I made it to the field from the field house!

Humidity is NO JOKE in the south.

And yes, Gold Bond is the best remedy.

Over the line Smokey!
who cares about offer to his HS freshman sister, He probably wouldn't be at USC by the time she got to campus....

If Eddie's sister is deserving of a college basketball scholarship, she will get many more offers. Notre Dame has a top-five women's basketball team on an annual basis. I don't think USC can make a similar claim. If she ends up being a top recruit nationally, I'm sure Notre Dame and numerous other schools will give her a serious look. If she's not a top-level recuit, does anyone really believe that USC woiuld honor that scholarship offer?

Eddie needs to do what is best for him. His sister's situation will evolve and take on a life of its own. Notre Dame degree, nearly 100% graduation rate for football players, and a great shot at the NFL. It sounds convincing to me. If Eddie agrees, he'll make the right choice. If not, I hope he goes somewhere other than USC. After some of the things they pulled under Kiffin, I wouldn't trust them to keep any of their promises.

Kiffin is unlikely to be there in four years when that promise would be kept. Who knows, their bball coach might not be there by then either.

Unless she's highly skilled, one of the top women's basketball recruits in the country, I find it highly strange she'd be offered as part of EV's official visit. Forgive my ignorance if she is fact a top recruit and offering top women's basketball recruits that early (like MBB) is normal.

And regardless, I don't think Skylar has a brother that ND desperately wanted to get to commit. Two different scenarios, IMO. When in doubt, remember who is coaching $C.

Yep just saw that, here is the quote for others:

That just grinds my nerves. If EV and his family can't see the true nature of this offer, then I'm afraid we're fighting a larger uphill battle than we initially thought. Granted, I could be WAY off and his sister could be the greatest freshman basketball player in the country, but something tells me that's not the case...

Btw all the posters on the USC 247 board and the two analysts out west think it will be a USC vs UCLA battle and USC will win out. They aren't giving ND much of a chance.

That's pretty much par for the course on a USC board, isn't it? Didn't they think they had Redfield, too? And Redfield, at that point, had already visited ND, EV hasn't. That's a big difference.

FYI, here's the weather for SB this weekend:

Haha well ok it was kind of a "no ****" comment but just figured I would share so we could smear it in their face if he lands here.

I think it's telling where fan bases think that recruits will land at some level. You generally see an uptick in confidence before a commit and a downtick before a decommit. Obviously it's not a science but there is some correlation there.

Every once in a while there will be an out of the blue commit like Jamel James this year, but that is rare (and doesn't always pan out).

Also, to those worried that EV is from a warm weather state just want to point out that he's from Auburn, CA where the weather is much different than LA or Orange County. It gets pretty brisk in the winter with average lows in the 30s. I doubt weather will play that big of a factor.

You know what? Right now it may very well be a USC/UCLA race. But I will bet anything that once we get him on campus, AT A MINIMUM, ND will be up there with those two, if not ahead of them. Magical things happen when we get these kids on campus. I'm sure this will be no different. That is why I'm putting absolutely no stock in what's being said right now, especially by west coast analysts.
