Except for those that chose between school or the military, right? I take great exception to you saying nobody has had to make as hard a decision as a kid choosing his free education at LSU or ND over those that had to choose the military or not.

If he's not going to be Irish, I'm officially moved on. Bring on Mr. Fuller. Hell, he may be a project, but quite frankly, from a pure talent standpoint, might be freaking better than any other athlete we have on the current damn roster. And that's no joke.

YA BABY GET MEAN I can't believe what seems to be such a good kid is thinking about LSU. Its been said that he wants to work with children, but I don't think getting a childs education at one of the thug schools is the way to go about it.

Thank, HCTI. Somebody who, unlike myself, has not been labeled an eye poker nedeed needed to say that.
Either this kid is the most reticent five star qb recruit ever (and there aren't many reticent qbs) or he is enoying this too much.11 days before he needs to ee, at least at ND.
He is doing the schools he spurns a disservice at this point. They need to know how hard they should press for another qb.
I am convinced that he will never hold a presser. He is going to walk out in driveway in two weeks, get in a Uhaul with his dad and make reporters follow him. If goes south it's LSU, east it's Vandy and north it's ND. That's how we'll find out.

I will wait.. I hope Gunner had a great christmas.. I feel he just trying to make the right move for him very smart kid, his whole FB career is going to be layed out with one move...

I really see him at ND if not good luck Gunner..

Based on what? Unsubstantiated rumors? For all we know we can be sitting even prettier than ever before with this kid right now. It's also possible we haven't been in the race for the past month. Who knows- my point is that to assume anything at this point would be foolish.

He may have made a decision and notified all the schools involved and they have moved on to other recruits. The schools themselves are not allowed to comment on a recruit until NSD; therfore, it is up to him or his family to make a statement about his status to the public at this point. For whatever reason they a choosing not too talk.

Thank you Pandfan for some actual news. It'd be nice if there were no more talk about 'it's Gunner's decision and you don't care how long it takes him', or, 'I don't believe it's LSU until I hear it from a real source'. I'm sure the mods would appreciate if we kept it strictly news from here on, so don't wear yourselves out speculating. Trust me, what ever theory you've concocted is already burried in the 180+ pages.

What's funny is Jamie Newberg provided absolutely no new information. More than likely she just assumed he would decide this week based on his timetable last week and added what's been going around the internet boards about LSU. Then to throw in some mystery she added her own little bit. It's ashame that's what news has come to.

I believe that he committed on Friday to LSU, but I also believe that the fact that he hasn't announced indicates that he's still considering, and reconsidering the decision.

That seems to be in your favor, ND, not ours, LSU.
I do think he's a good kid and will be a credit to whichever school he attends. Nothing but the best to him, and to Notre Dame, whenever they don't play LSU.

Reports on Tigerdroppings seem to be strong enough, and consistant enough from various posters, that I believe it to be true. There's a lot of smoke there, but, as I said, there is still no announcement.

I've been on Tigerdroppings for eight years. And, while there is no linkable "source", it is my judgment that the commitment reports are true. And, that's all this is, my judgment of other posts.

I tried to reply, but I must have pushed the wrong button. The report that he had called and committed to Coach Miles on Friday came from several posters on Tigerdroppings, and appears to be true. But, that is really an opinion rather than a linkable source.

This tweet was made a while ago, so we may be getting closer to an announcement.
