How To Fix Notre Dame - ESPN Video - ESPN

experts talk about it. i like how pollock from ga is talking about how bad they are and ga sucks just as bad.

EXPERTS MY A S S! Who in the hell are those minions...ESPN says they are experts because thats who was in the building when they decided they needed to do this dumb production...???

If you had some guys I at least recognized as having some level of program expertise (coaching or AD)...I'd buy it...some have played, but so have I...I mean SERIOUSLY!

ND is down...and that they can't explain...and when ND is up...I assure you that group of MORONS won't be able to explain that either.

No whack on you Nd1...I like the posts...but I am dumber for having watched ESPN idiots talk...

That Georgia fellow doesn't have a clue. Honestly, that was laughable.

Listen, if any of these guys were so intuitive with their football knowledge, they would be on the sidelines.

You want to know how you fix Notre Dame? You hire a coach who has won ~80% of his games. It is done. Notre Dame has the coach, Notre Dame has the wherewithal, Notre Dame will be successful. Might they need to slide a few borderline grade guys in? Who the hell knows, that's really just not the issue.

Jim Tressel went 2-9 his first season at Youngstown State, and 7-5 his first season at Ohio State.
Bob Stoops went 7-5 his first season at Oklahoma.
Nick Saban went 6-5-1 his first season at Michigan State, and 7-6 his first season at Alabama.
Mack Brown went 6-5 his first season at Appalachia State, 1-10 his first season at Tulane, and 1-10 his first season at North Carolina.
Pete Carroll went 6-6 his first season at Southern Cal.

It is ridiculous so many people think Notre Dame cannot be fixed, NOTHING cannot be fixed. This program is nothing more than the players and coaches within it. The failures of Davie, Willingham, and Weis will have ZERO impact on X's and O's or W's and L's. They are nothing more than fuel for haters.

Just relax folks.

This is what I've been saying all year. Especially Saban because he was proven even before he went to Bama winning a NC at LSU. It still took him a year and he can recruit anybody down there. All the guys you mentioned showed significant improvement in their second season's so we'll get a real good idea of where ND is headed next season.

This gives me the giggles that you actually posted this with a straight face. Cheaty McSweatervest, Saban, Mack and Carroll were able to recruit athletes....ND has to recruit the Student-Athlete. Big Difference. It's easy to turn that s hit around at a factory.

The difference makers is right on and it was the case during Hotlz. We dont have the play makers and if our kids are rated as 4 star kids they are really 2or 3 star recruits. If we cant recruit lets join the Ivy League

^^Those last two points are ridiculous. You two are full of so much self-doubt it's a bit gross. Stop looking at the four-stars and look at who else offered the recruits. Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Texas, etc. don't offer just for fun.

Notre Dame has the talent, it's been largely undeveloped, and they have the recruiting base. Listen you don't need every kid to want to come to Notre Dame. Hell, this isn't the 1960's, it simply won't happen. But it also isn't the 1960's in that the scholarship limits have created parity. Notre Dame can and has won recruiting battles against the premiere powers, and they've done so recently. AND, they've done so with a crappy program!

You guys gotta stop talking about letting the academic standards slide and getting the homeboyz in here because that is just never going to happen at Notre Dame and thats the way it should be.

They don't need to let in the thugs...brian kelly had a top five team in 2009 and those were composed of the leftovers ohio state, penn state, ND, and every other big power didn't want. ND will always have better talent than that 2009 cinci team..BUT for that to happen you'll need to wait three or four seasons for the system to fit those pieces in. And if you looked at the schedules those could be some very ROUGH seasons.

That guy is a blithering idiot. The other guy talking about the defensive front seven is very correct though.

Yeah letting academic standards slip is not the answer, and I think we have found part of the solution of fixing this football program when we hired BK. He is a proven winner and he will get ND back on track. It will take some time and it's not happening over night. We do have a couple of tough seasons ahead of us, I am hoping this year is used as a building block and learning period, because we need to play better with the tougher schedules coming up.

BTW, that first guy, David Pollack, from Georgia Tech on the ESPN video was an idiot. Basically, because they're bad now, ND will always be bad?

Im getting sick and tired of hearing the good recruiting classed every year and then end up going 6-6 i hope kelly can finally develop these recuits not just get them ready for the nfl like weis did

I agree.., you can consistently bring in top 15 recruiting classes every year, but if you don't develop these players and mold these kids into a cohesive, productive team, then you will end up 6-6 some years. I am hopeful that BK will right the ship because of what he has done in the past at other programs with half of the talent.

It seems to me that I have heard this once before . Like 22 years ago. ND isn't going anywhere until they can recruit a stellar Defense. Next year isn't going to be any better than this year. This entire Football program is in shambles.

In addition I am so tired of reading pathetic posts like this. At this point we would have a better chance at solving the energy crisis than turning this football team around.

The only pathetic posts I see are the ones spewing from your name. Your time is limited. You are a troll.

You have your right to your negative opinion. Glad not all of us fans are as negative as you.
