I always said I like Mayock on our gamecasts. I really think he can act almost as a sales rep for certain kids.

MM is one of those guys people listen to, but remember, NFL scouts take a look at Kelly tested players closely. Watch the draft this year, our experiment will be if Kelly players start to exceed their anticipated positions. This was a trend after early success with CMU and Cinci players; now I bet it becomes pronounced. The first edge of this was last year's undrafted players that found roster positions. Floyd and Smith are doing really well. I believe secret is out with the scouts . . .

Kap could have went somewhere else and broke his back on his first play of college football.

He has a Notre Dame degree and the best lesson anyone in this world can get, and that is that life is all about overcoming failure in order to succeed. Everyone always assumes that they know what it is like to go against impossible odds and still go for it all. Kap actually knows what that feels like. He will get a shot to try out for the NFL. He will attack it the same way he did when everybody thought he would be passed by Aaron Lynch. He will attack it the same way he did when everyone said this team wouldn't be any good. He is a fighter. Couldn't be prouder of him. He will be ridiculously successful in this life.

Do not feel sorry for any of these young men. They dont want you pity, they want your encouragement.

Feel awful for him. He gave everything he had for this team, and not only does he tear his ACL in his last game at ND, but it comes in the biggest game of his career. He's a great leader and a huge role model for not only the young players on the defensive line, but the defense as a whole. He more than earned his captaincy. I have no doubts that he'll come back strong.

First gotta say tough game last night but by no means anyone should be down and upset about this magical season that we had.

I love everything about ND and how it has changed me and become a better man person and human being. love this team and our brotherhood and how we grew each week.

It's been a honor and pleasure in being captain with a bunch of great fellas. Also got to thank everybody for their texts, calls and prayers about my injury. It has meant a lot to me! I will bounce back and be back on the field in no time!
