No big surprises on just-released #NotreDame football depth chart. Theo Riddick still listed as No, 1 running back ...

lemme just add, the grammar in this thread is great :)

Until you missed the period at the end of your sentence. Holy hell. Now you're going to create mass chaos. Thanks for stopping by. Geesh.

Could be an oppurtunity this week against Miami for Golic to prove himself with Martin as a backup

Overall good post talking X and Os is welcome at IE. Thanks.

I agree Duke is special and he is a concern.

I don't agree that Morris will have the time in the pocket for his long accurate passes.

Are secondary has been a concern all year however they have stepped up so far, so i am not really sure you can call it suspect.

Miami fans are not bandwagon? Just a question...then why all the empty seats? Many teams including ND have had their tough years however the stadium has been full. Just an observation.

Many fans have been extremely angry at our AD and the school for de-emphasizing the football program. A lot are extremely fed up with the antics of the last ten years and pretty much refuse to put money into the team until the school shows it is serious about the program again.

Also SunLife stadium seats 75,000+ so it tends to look empty even 3/4 full. Not that it has been 3/4 full this season just an observation.

Not to mention our first home game was against Bethune Cookman after a horrible loss to K-State. The NC State game was a bit better in terms of fan turn out. Once the fans believe the team isn't pulling one over on them again you'll start to see the stadium fill up again.

As to the one person who said "84 yards rushing against NC State doesn't scream dominant line" - They were selling out against the run all day playing man coverage down the field and blitzing hard. However they were unable to create any pressure on the QB with those blitzes. Undoubted that you guys will be the toughest front seven we've faced so far and the game should go a long way towards finding out what both teams are made of.

Trust me when I say you guys will probably be able to score on us a good amount, but I expect we do our fair share of scoring as well. I expect a kind of 31-28 type of game. Obviously give or take on both sides. It's going to come down to which offense makes the most of their chances.

I know you guys held Michigan down....but in my opinion Michigan is a really really really overrated team offensively. They are a one trick pony and their passing game is terrible. The type of team that will look amazing against poor competition but melt under a strong defense (which you guys definitely have).

I'd say you guys will most likely win the game, but it could be huge trouble if they players overlook us in any way. Whoever wins the trenches will win the game, and your defense is certainly a lot stronger than ours. It's mostly made up of freshman and sophomore players who tend to have mental lapses. Especially in zone coverage...

Just for reference, FEI is 97% accurate at predicting games in the 95+ PWE bracket.

Statement game for the Irish: OL gels, Wood breaks out, Golson hits his deep balls, etc.

what does that mean? Never heard that acronym before

ND certainly cannot look past this week. Miami is athletic and could easily put a few in the endzone real quick if we come out flat. With that said, I don't see this defense stepping onto soldier field with anything but bad intentions. This squad has been on a mission from day one. But not only are they on a mission, they are executing their plan to near perfection week in and week out. Every D says their out to prove something but the D-boys are walking the walk right now.

The o has the mindset but obviously lacks consistency at QB. I expect to see Kelly attempt to establish the run game early and see if he can ride it all night, in turn making Golsons job infinitely easier. If not, Golson will be tested again. He'll sling it till he cant sling it no mo'. I hope the kid's lightbulb goes on and he puts on a show, but if not I support Kellys back up plan. Get the W baby!

31-10 Irish. D- boys roll

In defense to their fans, I thought this was an awful college stadium when I was at the Orange bowl a few years ago. I was on the 40 yard line and like row 5 and couldn't see very well. I can understand why no one wants to go to the game.

Even if it is a horrible stadium if it's still the same Miami you still expect better..There is a lot of examples but Qulacomm stadium nearby is really bad but people still show up. But like someone said earlier there bandwagoners. It's not like there losing every game they have lost once. I guess the whole negativity toward the program is another reason.

I wonder how Cierre screwed up so badly. From his few touches, he has clearly been the best back. Theo is reliable and shifty, but definitely does not have the playmaking ability and potential for long runs that Cierre has. I don't understand why he's still number one on the depth chart.

The Orange Bowl was torn down like 5 or 6 yrs ago. They play at Sun Life Stadium now (Dolphins Home) and it is a really nice stadium and some of th best tailgating....its really ashame the do not get a better turn out.

Looking like a high of 51/low of 37 with a few showers on Saturday. That has to favor our boys.
