It was the pissy undertones of your post that was bullshit.

Don't use a condescending tone with me either, I've read this thread the whole way through, being as I visit this site daily.

Good for you for referencing sources, don't be a douche about it though.

Sure thing buddy! You have a great day!*

*note, my collar was not popped while typing that, so I was not a douche. I checked.

Whatever Michigan fan told you we were gonna have 4 players drafted is doing the good stuff...Lewan will be a early 2nd round pick, denard will be drafted as a WR, and that's about it haha. I cannot stand ignorant, incompetent fans!

So you decided to be a Michigan fan?

Watching UM/Airforce on Espn 3 to get a feel for Michigan's team. Only things I know for sure right now watching Hoke pretend to be a head coach without a headphone is cute, and Michigan's uniforms are ugly as sh*t. Thank god we're playing them at home, less "maize" (or "sunshine" or whatever the hell they call it now) to look at.

Any chance all the "blue hairs" stay home on Sat. Night and ND stadium turns into a rowdy azz place to bring the house down against scUM? I know, wishful thinking,

Personally, I couldn't care less how many 4th rounders or 7th rounders UM has on their roster.

We gave the game away last year and by all accounts we seem to be the better team this year, yet again. There is an obvious difference in demeanor, execution and overall play making with this years squad.

It's hard to say exactly what it is but the team that didn't let MSU past the 50 yd line in the second half last Saturday, is not the Irish team I've been watching the past few decades. It was the first time I saw a BK squad break a quality teams spirit.

I can't sit here and say we are going to do to Denard what Bama did, we're not there yet. But, we are more mentally and physically equipped than ever before.

Michigan just does not have the bodies in the trenches to win this game outright. We are superior in both aspects. The only way they keep it close is if we cough it up and let Denard hit the seams.

Notre Dame Football is on a high right now (Not the same high the Wolverines were on before Appalachian St). We know it, MSU knows it, GoBlue knows it, every sports analyst knows it... and while ND is moving forward as a program, Michigan is still squabbling on the ground for loose change after Bama came in and took their lunch money.

Hmmm...not trying to cause a stir but I disagree with a number of your points.

First of all, despite all the hype little brother is getting this year, they are a mediocre team in the vast landscape of college football. They are an above average team in the B1G, but this year that is not saying much. The formula for beating msu is simple and kelly made it look simple. You stop Leveon Bell, force their below average QB and below average WRs to beat you. Not going to happen against a team with a better offense. MSU had the worst gameplan I have ever seen going into that game. No misdirection, no screen passes, nothing to slow down your extremely aggressive front seven. It was absolutely pathetic from an offensive game calling standpoint. I think even you can agree with that.

I would also make the arguement no one in america knows what Michigan has in the trenches thus far. Look at our line play on both sides last year pre-ND. It was pathetic, disgusting, worse than this year by EONS! The first week this season we play a team that WILL be in the NC game, a team that has 1st and 2nd round players at almost every position on both sides of the ball. Not a good gauge of talent for this Michigan team, anyone with a brain knew we were in over our heads.

Air force...well you guys know all about playing service academies and the triple option. There is no way with 6 days you can prepare for a triple option offense on defense completely (unless maybe your alabama....), the service academies year in and year out gouge top level defenses on the ground.

And UMASS is the epitome of bad in D1-A football. makes me angry we even schedule these games, but it gives our reserves a good chance to get on the field for a game.

This game will be the telling performance for both of our line units, it is the first game this year that we play a team with comparable talent, and talent the likes we will see the rest of the year in conference play.

I do see that ND is feeling good this year with your first 3-0 start in quite sometime, and I am happy to see another historical program returning to the place it should be in the college football spectrum.

Your comment that we are squabbling for loose change though is pretty unfounded and spiteful though. Whether or not you agree with it, we won the BCS SUGAR BOWL last year, we have had top ten recruiting classes the last few years and currently have the number two ranked recruiting class in the nation, and after it is all said and done could have the number one class. If you think this program is stuck in a rut that will never be crawled out of, I really dont know what I can say to you to make you realize that is ludicrous.

Michigan fans with any sense of football knowledge knew the Bama game wasnt going to even be close! But can you really dog a team for going out and scheduling the best team in the nation and getting whipped? I would rather schedule the best team in the nation every year OOC, play in cowboy stadium in prime time, and get beat...than schedule youngstown state, UConn, etc. and beat them by 45 points.

Really? Coach Hoke, or Dave Brandon comes out and says ND playing Navy is a joke? Or are you lumping all Michigan fans together? Maybe I should lump all ND fans together? If you're going to talk to me, please read my other posts, don't just jump on the all M fans say this. That's dumb, and so are those comments and they provide no insight.

They do beat everyone like that, except Michigan scored on them.

scoreboard

2010 2011, pay close attention to the defensive numbers they seem to be improving. Judging by your posts stats are not your thing

According to this list, they do not. Link.

To save you the trouble of hitting ctrl F I'll do it for you

36 Kawann Short DT 5 Purdue rSr 06/03/12 315 01/02/12

286 Josh Johnson CB 35 Purdue Sr 05/11/12 195 7-FA

144 Craig Roh DE 16 Michigan Sr 06/04/12 280 04/05/12
159 William Campbell DT 15 Michigan Sr 06/05/12 308 5
195 Jordan Kovacs SS 5 Michigan rSr 05/11/12 202 6
239 Kenny Demens ILB 12 Michigan rSr 06/01/12 242 7
280 J.T. Floyd CB 34 Michigan rSr 06/01/00 184 7-FA

Really? I'm supposed to sit on this forum all day? Also, I provided a biased link, not just throwing a number and a few positions of players who you thought played well that day. Thanks for playing.

Are you kidding me? So All Big Ten first team Ricardo Allen isn't an NFL player but JT Floyd is? Every single coach in America would trade JT Floyd for Ricardo Allen. The other I would've named is Bruce Gaston.

And considering there are 224 draft picks... even using your list you don't get to 4. You get to 3. A list that somehow includes Will Campbell LOL. And not a single one of those guys is projected higher than round 5............

Ricardo Allen + Short > every single one of Michigan's defensive players. Period. If you don't think so, you're either an unabashed homer, mentally handicapped, or blind.

It's a list done by CBS, find me a better answer to your question, other than waiting until April of 2013. At this point I've disproved your statement, you've done nothing to back it up.

You'll get your chance to go back to a **** poor OOC schedule next year buddy.

UM 2013 OCC Schedule

08/31 - Central Michigan
09/07 - Notre Dame
09/14 - Akron
09/21 - at Connecticut

Surprised you don't have an FCS school in there next year, but I guess you guys learned your lesson with that, huh??

Yup... and they must have been mediocre last season when we beat them and then they rolled Michigan. We'll see how mediocre they are when you guys play them.

You lost two VERY good players on your defensive line and by no stretch of anybody rational's imagination is your Dline playing like they were early last year. You guys have serious issues in that regard and regardless of Saturday's outcome, you should be very concerned that even the two crappy teams you played ran all over you. I'll be nice and not remind you of what Bama did to it.

Air force...well you guys know all about playing service academies and the triple option. There is no way with 6 days you can prepare for a triple option offense on defense completely (unless maybe your alabama....), the service academies year in and year out gouge top level defenses on the ground.

We do know all about playing them. We beat one by 40 points in the first week and did anything we wanted to on them. You guys beat Air Force by six. Now, i'm sure that you want to bring up how we lost to Navy twice recently, but I ask you this, if that is a reflection of those ND teams.... then how is Michigan's poor play against AF not a reflection upon them?

This game will be the telling performance for both of our line units, it is the first game this year that we play a team with comparable talent, and talent the likes we will see the rest of the year in conference play.

Notre Dame has been doing all of those same things on the recruiting trail for a long time. If we were in a Recruiting Tournament, good job, but we're not.

I agree, but lets not act like Michigan is scheduling the best team in the country year in and year out. Michigan fans are continuing to use this as an excuse for losing. We schedule the big boys every year and will end up playing 5-7 teams that finish in the top 25. If we lose to one of them, you wont hear us crying about it.

It's not "f*ck Michigan" week without some verbal fighting. I love it. This is why I love college football. I'm already too amped.

I'm also going ignore the current argument that's going on to say that I have a gut feeling that BK lets Neal and Brown off the leash this weekend.

We saw that Brown should've had a TD against MSU, but that was about his only camera time (correct me if I'm wrong, I was feeling pretty good via celebratory drinks later in the game). I think Kelly is going to involve the two young speedsters early and often against Michigan. Establish the run on first down, and then let the speed burn Michigan deep. They will be focused on stopping Eifert and Goodman/Toma/Daniels, so let the freshman make some plays against favorable personell matchups.

You hammered a navy team the first week, that was embarrassed by Ped. State University last week, Air Force this year>>>>>>>Navy this year.

Trust me I'm not happy about our OOC schedule, and if we could go independent and play anyone we want and automatically get to a BCS bowl if we go 10-2 we would probably schedule like you do as well.

Obviously AF was going to run all over us, thats all they do, and again...no way to prepare for that effectively in less than a week with as many new starters as we have. Umass only had success running when our reserves were in for the most part, also they continued to run to the side of the field that we had a 3rd string linebacker playing on due to injury, so that really does not concern me. 112 yds. on 36 attempts. Meh.

Probably less spiteful and more jealous I guess. Poor Choice of words.

Jealous? Of what exactly?

My comment about you squabbling around for change because Bama took your lunch money was based on this season alone. I don't care that you beat an over-rated VaTech or that you have a solid recent recruiting history and current class (we've been there, see Charlie Weis).

Your team just does not look polished since they took that beating and honestly all I hear from you are excuses that keep you from admitting that. It was humbling and it showed against AF. This Michigan team is a one trick pony. How long has Hoke had to create some sort of identity other than Denard? Where would your team be if he went down? Answer that.
