I agree to some point on everyones comments lol. I would def take his brother to get Mackensie. But its also goes deeper than that.
1. The staff has 2 commits in 2014 already, so they have def evaluated the 2013 class on who they will be able to offer and who they are waiting to qualify to offer as far as grades, class schedules, character checks, etc.... In my opinion it would in a way be offensive to offer his brother at this point unless they were waiting on grades.
2. Armsteads/Atkinsons were offered right away or given the chance to come right away. If ND wanted both Alexanders or even the so called "package deal" BK isnt dumb and it would be on the table.
3. I think both are fine football players, its just we have a need for MacKensie and Mackenro isnt a need persay. We have projects this year at safety as well as the return of Chris Badger.
4. I do think that MacKensie is the best cb in the class and ND probably feels he is the top 3. I get where ND should do everything to get him but at the sametime there isnt a way around we are almost full and have the luxury of being picky in JULY.
5. Common sense says BK and co have a hell of a grasp on where they stand in 2013 at this point to be able to start dipping into 2014. Obviously it all hinges on winning games in the fall, but at the sametime they have recruited a certain type of player this year. They have went hard after the 4 stars with high character and intelligence. No offense to the familys of last years kids but a lot of them were more than over the edge of the typical kid ND recruits in those areas. 2012 class i think has the potential to be damn good and has potential through the sky. 2013 as we all know is closer than any class ND has got over quite sometime and they already hold each other to standards.
6. Its a long way till Feb. ND wins 9-10 games this year they will be in it to the end with some of the "elite" kids that are taking their time and thats all you can really ask is for a shot. 2011 we got chances with elite guys at the end and things went well, 2012 not so well. BK has made changes and got a Jaylon to commit early unlike last year with Gunner and its had a ripple effect. Cant underestimate getting top 10 player nationally early. Clausen did and they had a great class (at the time). Manti/Gunner waited till the end and who knows what could have been. I bet everything they wouldnt have been worse classes. ND is in a good position and I dont think anyone can complain when you break it down.
