He sent me a PM on 6/29/12 that he was taking some time off. He had "gotten into it wih a number of posters" (apparently in several threads) and didn't know if he was the problem. He stated that he wanted some time to sort it out himself.

6/29/12 was the day that Deeb verballed and 43 minutes after the announcement, AllGator tried to rain on Deeb's parade by posting a video of Deeb getting beat by a flagrant hold at some camp in Florida. The guy with the flagrant hold was a gator verbal and AllGator was clearly trolling. Many people here took issue with the timing of AllGator's post and the mods deleted it. GBdomer jumped in defending AllGator as a quality poster. In his pm to me GB noted he subsequently realized AllGator's post was offbase.

As I understood his pm the absence (sabbatical?) was unilaterally GB's and not a case of being sent to the penalty box by the mods. I expect he'll be back.

Thank you for taking the time to explain - reps. I remember that happening, but didn't continue to follow along after GB initially defended ALLGATOR. That sucks that our site suffers because a UF troll got hungry. I think all can agree that we are WAY better off with GB and that was nothing more than a temporary lapse in judgement. His body of work speaks for itself. This place isn't the same without him.

This is our most desperate hour. Help me, GB-Wan Kenobi. You're [our] only hope.
