And again his announcement will be decided by ESPN production crew.

Excuse my ignorance, but why is everyone so confident all of the sudden. I understand a PSU commit made his comment and Butler made his but am I missing something with all this info that is being leaked that everyone seems to think AA is choosing ND? I really hope it is all true but can someone please PM if there is info not to be post out in the open because I would love to share in everyone optimism....right now I still wouldnt be shocked either way with an ND or PSU decision.

Am I wrong, thinking that you are thinking that Alex is thinking he doesnt care what sanctions may come because he is not going there? Are we thinking the same thoughts about the thinking of Alex?

They all changed their picks from PSU to ND once I said I was confident he would come here.

No, shiit! That would be the only reason. If he were psychologically invested in PSU he would care, just not be disuaded. Alex may not choose ND because all of the crazy people on these sites though. Also, I am sure he will say, wow, some of these guys don't even understand linebacker play, so I cannot go to Notre Dame. I mean they don't even know an O from an I let alone a cat from a dog.

Back side needs to be longer and better in space, more often. Back and wide needs to be in coverage like db's; that is what a lot of teams try to do to you to freeze a lineman and a linebacker at the same time to get a one man advantage. That is why JS's skills provide this team an unbelievable advantage at dog.

All of the linebackers, Deeb, Mattingly (cat) and Alex are better in coverage than we are used to seeing. So is my favorite, Martini.

I think the staff will let the kids settle; hell they moved Rasaba inside, but if you look at the class you see Deeb (mike), Alex (will), Mattingly (cat), and JS (dog). Maybe that was a bump in the road for Alex, he wanted to be mike and had to get used to ND going for another mike? Who knows? Dave Casper has no idea; I have less.

lol, I don't think you are missing anything, but that doesn't mean there is anything concrete. Other recruits seem to think he is leaning toward ND, and Wiltfong is hearing the same from some sources he hasn't named. So that's good enough for a little optimism. Not enough to say he's a lock though.

I'm praying I'm wrong because this LB corps will be un-freaking-believable with Anzalone + an elite CAT prospect like Muhammed or Drennon.... and I'm fairly convinced we're going to land at least one elite pass rusher down the stretch (assuming a good season).

To me:
- Smith currently seems a little small for CAT but he'd be good, DOG is optimal, WILL is possible.
- Mattingly's frame seems a little tall/slim for anything but DOG or hybrid TE.
- Anzalone could play anywhere, but WILL seems optimal, CAT is possible.
- Deeb is a pure ILB, probably a MIKE.
- Muhammed is a DE if he can put on 275, if not CAT.
