Awesome! Can't have enough d-line. He has a huge frame to add a bunch more weight it appears.

Also, I love the character this whole class has. They seem to really understand ND.

Few things I enjoy more than reading online conversations between high schoolers on a Sunday night...

Kidding aside, these guys sure are role models. It's awesome to see that these guys are all about what Notre Dame stands for.

Hate the term RKGs but that definitely describes these kids. Best part of it is that I can understand their whole twitter conversation. That's rare these days.

I just went from really liking these two, to loving them! These guys clearly have the right heart to lead others. As excited as I am for them to play for ND, I think I am even more excited to see where they go in life after ND. But for now let's see them kick butt with class for the Irish!

What a beautiful pair of young men. I have friends who give up their Christmas holidays each year to go to Mexico/Yucatan to work in a village. They said that the first time they went they thought that they were going there to help people who didn't have much. What a joke that turned out to be! They were blessed with so much more from the people, close community, care for one another and strangers, sharing, satisfaction with the things they had, spirituality, --- a lot of things which made their lives rich, and whose diminishment had made ours poor.

God bless Corey and Big Isaac --- which He will through these very trips.

This post actually made me weep openly. It brings me back to a day I doubted everything.

I am glad they are doing something else in Nicarauga these days. Must be much safer for high school kids on missions. I cannot even imagine!

Just one thing Mike, the way Corey is growing, it may be Big Corey and Isaac!

Hah!! Yeh, the "Little Admiral" may be obsolete as a nickname. But, and I'm probably alone in this, I would rather have Corey stop growing at about 6'6". The odds of him maturing into his body as a football catching wide receiver seem much greater to me if he stops lengthening, especially if it's a quickness of lengthening, and simply coalesces into a great coordinated athlete. A BIG 6'6" receiver on the outside is plenty. Corey's dad was also a great athlete, but I'll bet at 7'1", he would have been ineffective as a D1 outside receiver, and maybe at any football position. There's got to be a reason that football superior athletes stop at about 6'9". Now, if you'd rather Corey keep growing and quit football to give Mike Brey a 7-foot center, well that's another concept.

I apologize to Isaac for what I hope was only a momentary highjacking of his thread. I don't want him growing into a 6'10" power forward either. Grow into the bodies you have big guys; it's power, speed, and coordination now.

Part of the reason is that most people don't have such late growth spurts, and if you project at 6'9" and you are coordinated, you are going to play b-ball.

Shaq would have been a SICK TE.

I respectfully disagree with the general [really tall guys being really good at football] and the specific [Shaq lasting even one season without football damage to his legs, or being benched because of slow turning radius], but I do not want to highjack Isaac's thread --- and again I apologize.

Stumbled across a web site that had film breakdowns of our current 2013 commits and posted all of them to this thread. Now posting to the individual recruits thread.

The analysis is done by Matt Alkire who worked for Scout for a number of years. Here is his bio for anyone who cares

Matt Alkire is also employed by Fox Sports where he works as a college and high school football recruiting analyst, mainly covering the Northeast portion of the country for Scout.com where he coordinates with players, coaches and administrators at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a regular for many ESPN radio affiliates for both the NFL Draft and high school recruiting, contributes on a regular basis to Fox publications and was also featured in former New England Patriot All-Pro Brent William’s book “Recruit My Son”. He has been doing extensive film study since the 2003 season for the NFL Draft. As a football player, Alkire played both defensive end and tight end and comes from a family with a rich coaching background.
