I'm happy, surprised and truly grateful for all the 2018 commits. To me, this is about bringing the Irish back to greatness and these young men get that this is a legacy project. No doubt, they also get the benefit of 4 for 40, but I'm so thankful for their faith in the program.

That being said, IMHO, we desperately need some DE commits. Looked over the offers and maybe someone can shed some light on our chances.

As a relative neophyte to all things Irish, this seems to be our biggest challenge in recruiting. I just can't understand why? Cheers!

I believe it was big Ademilola who tweeted that and he tweeted it after Micah Jones committed. So to answer your question, someone else.

Looking at who's interested, doubt it happens, but man would this be a blessing given the unknown health of Cage, the unknown effort of Tillery, and then simply 'unknown' of MDT, Tiassum, and Taylor.

Per ND regulation 5.7-b in the recruiting manual one must visit campus before they commit so I'm hoping for Mustipher, Griffith or Gant (in that order). But Lenzy could pop any second and Ademilola might be trying to create some mystery.

Can't count out Hayes or Dirksen, both live about 4 hrs from campus.

Can't be ASB or any of the other IMG guys yet... right?

See I wonder. I saw that tweet and saw the time/date stamp as 4:36PM yesterday, but then I saw it retweeted from a westcoaster, and it said 1:36PM. Time difference? Does anyone know for sure that this came after Micah Jones committed?

Can anyone explain this whole thing to me?

Wow, thanks for pulling the manual out and doing the digging.

I bet we are going to see the arcane, Reg 6.14-g used, also called the "I've seen Rudy 27 times" clause and we could get our one commit every third class that never sets foot on campus. We'll see. But we may have someone it that category that is just waiting for some kind of approval from admissions to announce.

Just a feeling.

PS. It ain't Vann, he's in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Has he been cleared by admissions?

The Ademilola tweet was definitely after the Micah Jones commitment, twitter's times can be funky.

This is what I've been saying. I predict the only last minute additions will be if & when there is an announced (or unannounced) transfer or medical retirement at the end of the season leading up to NSD. And if it happens, they won't be scramble for a filler, it will be Polian flipping a westcoast kid to join ASB... or sumpn along those lines. THAT'S when you snag a Manti, when you have a great class and a spot opens up late.
