I dont mind UCLA because they never affect Notre Dame's season. I would rather a 5* athlete go to UCLA than U$C.

I would rather them get a big-time prospect than USC, but I am still not enthralled with them by any means. We have certainly lost our fair share of recruits to them as well. With that said, I can understand why kids would want to go to either school, but they don’t call us fanatics for nothing lol.

.9933 5* WR Amon-Ra St. Brown
.9891 5* OL Nick Petit-Frere
.9583 4* LB Solomon Tuliaupupu
.9348 4* DB Julius Irvin
.9271 4* DB Kyler Gordon
.9185 4* WR Braden Lenzy
.9078 4* WR Lawrence Keys III
.8930 4* DB Noah Boykin
.8776 3* OL Luke Jones

Yesterday's recruiting podcast on IrishIllustrated, Kevin Sinclair mentioned Noah Boykin was still a target. I don't remember exactly what he said in regards to him being a take or not because of better players, but I'm not ready to scratch him off the list. I think we have 4-5 more spots that the staff is trying to fill. Julius Irvin had an in-home visit last night with the staff, he has taken his visits to USC, Washington, and Notre Dame so a decision could come soon. Kyler Gordon either takes his visit this weekend to Washington or doesn't, my guess is he commits (UW or ND) within the next week hopefully. Braden Lenzy took his visit to ND, might take another visit to Oregon or UCLA, but don't know when his decision could come. Noah Boykin is visiting Maryland this weekend and could make a decision shortly after as to which school he'll go to. Same for Luke Jones, kid is taking a visit to Arkansas to see new coach Chad Morris and I'd guess next week would be decision time. I think St. Brown, Petit-Frere, Pupu, and Keys III are all second signing period decisions, but anything could happen.

There's also Taiyon Palmer, Tommy Bush, and others unknown to me that could get offered and scooped up last minute, but my guess is the next week will see 4-5 ND targets come off the board. My guess is Kyler Gordon commits first!

i think he tweeted today or yesterday he is announcing on early signing day

on keys, he is highly regarded by staff and lsu is just keeping him dangling with no offer but yet still making home visits ...wouldn't be surprised to see him wait to see if the end up offering late....plus with houston's oc leaving, cross them off now

I wouldn't care who got who or who did what - I would change my pants for this finish.

I think if we sign Lenzy in fall signing period, Keys is not coming to South Bend.

Best bet is Gordon or Irvin. They get one of them. They both aren't coming. Both of them staying out west is a possibility and then it's back to Boykin.

Jones could beat them to the punch if he doesn't like the new Hog staff as much as the last or HH. He may be mentally flipped to ND right now and simply didn't go through the public decom process to keep the locals off his back. This weeks OV to the HogPen may be Morris trying to flip him back.

247 ratings (not composite) have KG 40 spots higher overall. Quite a bit difference in composite compared to Houston but thats high praise from 247.

Wow, what a change in the last three weeks. Remember being worried about defensive back recruiting...

Who do you guys think we close with? Let's take some guesses.

I think it rounds out nicely and we get:

Keys at WR
C'bo at RB
DJ Brown at CB
Derrek Eason at DE if ND wants him (I personally would pass and they might too)
Jarrett Patterson

We already got him to sign the first time. If we get him to sign again, I'm betting his grandfather gets sick this time.

I need out of my letter of intent. My HC John Gruden got sick from eating too much Hooters and I need to stay in Cali to care for him
