Hire Rich Rod back chants I hear...

In all honesty thought, Rich Rod never fit in the culture up there. You know he wasn't a "Michigan Man." The old farts with money didn't like him.

But this is exactly what is going to be the death of Michigan football (as if it wasn't dead already). Even USC, with their history of running a "pro-style offense" hired Sark with the understanding that he was going to begin to spread things out a bit and increase the tempo.

But after the RichRod experiment, the Skunkbear community will absolutely revolt if the new coach doesn't run old school 1980's power football. Even Harbaugh doesnt play "Michigan" football anymore. They are screwed large... which is just awesome.

they hate brandon so bad that they are rooting for golson/ND....and they hate BOTH so it just shows how much disdain for him

Then why does it say "...more than you do..." instead of just "...more than you, Dave Brandon"?

Why does Dave Brandon liking or not liking EG matter in that sign?

I'm guessing he meant that they (UM fans/students) love Golson more than we (ND fans/students) love Dave Brandon. I don't know though, definitely not the best way to word whatever it was that he was trying to get across.

Where's Ed O these days? Think they consider him?

Michigan wouldn't touch Orgeron with a 10 foot clown pole. One of the chief complaints against RichRod was that he's a redneck yokel who didn't understand Michigan's culture. If that how they felt about Rodriguez, imagine what they'd say about Ed O...

Fred Jackson as an interim coach would make sense, just like Johnson at Penn State last season.

This piece about Jackson is really really funny though:

The Fred Jackson Hyperbole File | mgoblog

I was thinking about Jackson the other day. I think he would be a perfect fit if it weren't for him being 64 years old right now. I mean, maybe he would be a good transition coach, but after 23 years of coaching I am not sure how much he has in the tank.

If he has interest though, he would be a prudent choice, one I think could do well. Pretty good recruiter too.

Still going with my prediction of Jim McElwain, though I could see a scenario where someone like Doc Holliday or Ruffin McNeill could be pulled in. I have no faith that they could attract the homerun hires they crave.

I'm 62. I guarantee you that when you hit this age, you will find out there's plenty left in the tank. I'm rehabbing an old Victorian home (no hired help), and just finished putting a new roof on an RV, all while going to school and working full time. ;)

My apologies. I was referring to the 23 years of coaching more than his age.

62 is the new 30 ;)

Btw, good for you on all of the above. Love to see some pics of the reno project when you are done. Can't believe we don't have a thread on projects like those. Just finished redoing my kitchen.
