For god sakes Ishaq let's go
Everett Golson let's put the big boy pants on and become a great QB
DaVaris Daniels you have all American written all over you just put it all together
Troy Nikals you could be the greatest TE to walk this campus if you put it all together.

Who you guys got?

I'd say the only person you're really missing is whoever we have playing ILB.

GBDomer needs to step it up. He's overrated

100% agree on Ishaq
I want to see if Spond can take his game to the next level. He is solid and shows flashes of brilliance. Hopefully competing against Jaylon will lead him to become a big time player

At this point in time I would say Nix or Tuitt need to step up and be the leaders. They already play at an AA level but now someone has to fill the void left by Teo.

Neal, the O line, Brown, and the list continues.

Looking forward to seeing these battles play out in Spring ball.

Offense:
Daniels, GAIII, and Koyack (especially with all that potential!)

Defense:
Ishaq, Whoever fills the void left by Te'o (whether it be Grace or Rabasa)

I don't think anybody at ILB will replace what Te'o meant so its not fair to put them into that situation. And yes I know I'm overated, the people have spoken.

There's no G-D reason why you 2 don't step up your game. You're posting like a bunch of bitches!

Who needs to step up this year?

Kiel to push Golson but inside of stepping up, he's stepped out.

According to The Observer, Kiel's cleaned out his locker.

The entire secondary, they NEED to take the next step and play more man to man. Zone certainly has it's place in the game but if we want to compete with the big boys we need to be able to have Safeties and CB's that can cover, we were exposed big time in the BCS, that has to change for the D to take the next step.

On offense, we need a RB and some new OL. I am thinking Amir Carlise could be special this year and the young guys will be pushing him. I just don't see it with GA3, more of a mismatch type player than an everydown back IMO.
On the O-line I think Center will be key Heggarty needs to step up (thankfully he is cleared) he was really good out of HS, had offers to all the big boys and Texas, we need him to step in for Cave and play at a high level at Center.

I second BobD. Everyone needs to step up and that's not stupid talk either.

Any player that is going to be on the special teams unit. Let's put the "special" back in special teams. And whoever plays RB needs to be great.

To be a good 10-win team: only the center/right guard situation.

To threaten for an undefeated season: Golson and one safety to become the defensive quarterback.

To seriously challenge for the NC: Diaco.

Sheldon Day needs to play in order for him to step up.
Be nice to see Ben Councell
Everett Golson has too very mediocre last year.

I was pretty in the bag when I made this thread last night but I am glad to see you all kind of agree with me. No Troy Niklas? Also starting to believe Koyack is all potential.

Also Davonte Neal kind of forget you were on the team last year. Kyle Brindza also needs to step up and I know he reads this board. So not chirping you but need to step up in the kicking game.

I REALLY want to see GA3 get to around 225 and be a complete running back.

I'll settle for Troy Niklas blocking like a 3rd tackle though.

The fans. Last season brought some of the magic back, but that place needs to be obnoxiously loud and hostile all 60 minutes.

Honestly, I think that everyone needs to step up their game. There is always room for improvement and considering how much POTENTIAL we have on the team, the idea that we made it to the MNC last year is encouraging, while the performance there shows that the TEAM needs to improve across the board in order to become a true force in CFB again.

Also, I don't like singling out people who need to step their game up in such a complex team sport like football. If everyone just improves their play and the freshmen that play can learn quickly, the Irish could be VERY good again next year....and even better the next year, etc.

This is the best thirty-five word post, ever.
