JC Shurburtt was on Bill King's show this morning and said he didn't think either Asst. Coach leaving would have much, if any, recruiting impact on ND.

He did mention the fact that if Denbrock becomes OC it could have a positive impact on Quick.

Doesn't BK like to have many of the coaches involved in each recruit just for this reason? I know in places like Florida many of the coaches are involved with each recruit, not just the position coaches.

IDK about other places with less recruits. I would like to think this approach lessens the impact of a single coach leaving. Still though, both coordinators leaving in December is pretty tough.

I may be completely wrong, but I would be very very surprised if a pro like Kelly hadn't considered the possibility that Diaco could be lured away, considered the impact of that, and designed a recruiting strategy (re assignment of coaches) to completely address this. More than surprised, I'd be nearly shocked. The only guys you lose are those that were just totally locked in to a Martin or Diaco, which would be surprising in itself because I never had the sense that these guys were recruiting wizards. I imagine an Alford is much more important than either of these guys. But I would stand correction from you more knowledgeable posters.

I'd add though that it is only human nature for a college or high school kid to react with a bit of emotion to anything that changes their world, even a little. It's a lot to expect a 20 year old to be sanguine about adult things like job changes, even though some come to that understanding pretty quickly in subsequent tweets or posts.

This pot of gold is doing a great job of creating a buzz throughout the fanbase. It is also confusing the hell out of it too lol.

I meant last week Sandlin tweeted something about getting a '14 and '15 recruit the week Hoge popped. I think we are still waiting for that '14 to pop. Maybe this is it? Booker is not very subtle when it comes to popping the cork.

I agree. Also, the second part of that tweet is a wreck. He needs to represent the university better.

I do like the buzz he creates for recruiting though.

We should get some vbook going on what will happen first, commit or decommit... and who it'll be and such... at least try to fun some fun through all of it...
