Good news in the future for the Fighting Irish.

If you guys don't get it, there are sixteen clovers and sixteen kids currently committed..."for now!"

And this weekend may be bigger than any of you could possibly imagine.

So who is next? I've got Luatua, Quick and Watkins for the '14 class and Hodge for the '15 class. All within 1 week.

imo not going to happen this early in the game of recruiting....Hodge i suspect will be the next commit along w/ Tranquil ---big again that he is visiting especially w/ all of the commits trying to come as well

I think Hoge and Luatua are the most likely. Tranquill is possible but I think he waits until after his Purdue visit. Watkins and Hendrix are also possibilities, but they may want to play the process out a bit more.

Everyone else I think we just have to hit a home run on the visit and set ourselves up for the long haul.

I think that this is unlikely. There are too many kids on the verge of popping to not have at least one do so, imo.

Yes and I think once a number of berths in the class at taken at the USC game more on the bubble recruits might want to commit to keep their spot.

My guess: Tranquill, Luatua, Watkins and Hendrix this weekend...and then one or two names that may surprise you*

*Just to clarify, this doesn't mean I know anything. Just think someone I haven't mentioned or someone who we don't think will commit this weekend will pop. It's an odds game.

Interesting, TV breaks down the visitors like such:

Likely to commit
Luatua
Tranquill
McKenzie, iif his academics are in order (and we've heard from others that they aren't)

Likely to end up Irish
Watkins
Hendrix
Juju Smith
Quick
Hoge
Cornell

Don't rule out
Scarbrough
Lazard
Elam
Brown

We'll see what happens
Morgan
Smallwood
Mama

ND is always able to showcase why it is different. But the weekend experience is much better if Irish win. A victory keeps us rolling. Protect your house.

This, this, and this.

Showing up for USC is HUGE.

So obviously you want to win and it would help...

But, I was always under the impression that the outcome of one individual game one drastically impact a recruit's decision to attend. Obviously it helps, but you can't choose a school based on a single win or loss.

but it certainly makes the visit more magical...EVERYONE'S mood(coaches, players, students, etc) is better thus making the visit more positive

Kelly was asked about that recently. He basically said that if we would have won in 2011, the 2012 class would have been different...

We need to win.
