Do we know whether this RB has an ND offer yet? That could help narrow the hunt.
per Scout:

2 Sony Michel
(American Heritage School)
Plantation, FL 5-11/205 Committed to Georgia (offered by ND)

3 Racean Thomas
(Oxford HS)
Oxford, AL 5-11/204 Committed to Auburn (not offered)

4 Joseph Yearby
(Miami Central HS)
Miami, FL 5-9/190 Committed to Miami (Fl) (not offered)

6 Dalvin Cook
(Miami Central HS)
Miami, FL 5-11/197 Committed to Florida (not offered)

8 Royce Freeman
(Imperial HS)
Imperial, CA 6-1/220 Committed to Oregon (not offered)

9 Parris Campbell
(St. Vincent-St. Mary HS)
Akron, OH 6-1/180 Committed to Ohio State (not offered)

10 Jalen Hurd
(Beech HS)
Hendersonville, TN 6-3/230 Committed to Tennessee (offered by ND)

11 Bo Scarborough
(IMG Academy)
Bradenton, FL 6-2/234 Committed to Alabama (offered by ND)

12 Nick Chubb
(Cedartown HS)
Cedartown, GA 5-10/213 Committed to Georgia (not offered)

13 Christian McCaffrey
(Valor Christian HS)
Highlands Ranch, CO 6-0/190 Committed to Stanford (offered by ND)

14 Jeffrey Jones
(Washburn Sr.)
Minneapolis, MN 6-0/190 Committed to Minnesota (not offered)

16 Justin Jackson
(Glenbard North HS)
Carol Stream, IL 5-11/170 Committed to Northwestern (not offered)

So, of the top Rbs on scout, the bolded have been offered by ND. Any chance the mystery RB is someone above who has not been offered? I see a couple of candidates.

Sorry I don't understand. What is a bad precedent? Allowing kids who have sex into your university?

I don't understand the use of the word precedent. I wasn't aware allowing future parents into the university was even setting a "precedent".

Probably means out of wedlock. The Church set a precedent with that one.

So allowing an adult who has a kid out of wedlock into your institution sets a bad precedent.

Ok.... I mean I know it's a private institution... But that's really archaic for a University that claims to be as "inclusive" as ND always strives to be.

I think it's Sony Michel. He has teammates here and there was mutual interest. He's been rumored to be cooling off on UGA to begin with so his recruitment will open probably.

I have no info on this but if I had to guess it would be Sony Michel. After Pete's comments yesterday about how they still talk to him and Mike Rump said it would go to signing day.

Why would anybody be disappointed in Mccaffrey? Stanford produces and develops running backs a hell of a lot better then we do lately. So when they see a talent at RB I trust it. Don't be disrespectful to Mccaffrey but he is 100 percent to Stanford after both his parents went there.

I don't think this amounts to discrimination. Applicants who have exhibited exceptionally poor judgment are unlikely to get admitted for a number of very defensible reasons. For instance, guys who get expelled from school for dealing moly definitely belong in that category. Knocking up one's high school girlfriend isn't on the same level, but it's definitely a red flag.

Loy talked about Sony directly. We may get involved again but there is another name that will pop up

I don't really listen to Tom Loy or put any stock into what he says. This tunnel vision again today was so disrespectful to Jason Sapp

How did he disrespect Sapp? I can't imagine how Jason would even come up unless Loy just took a gratuitous shot at him.

Sony Michel did not make any sense to me. He had the chance because he committed to Georgia prior than EH to ND. I think he even cancelled the visit to the B&G game. So i think this is doubtful.

I would love some Scarbough, a kid from Tuscaloosa would be so epic.

I guess it wasn't in that sense. But maybe the title of it, Jason Sapps tunnel vision was the reason I joined Blue and Gold. IT had everything and was usually always correct. Today Loy brought up Nathan Starks something that any of us could have wrote. Something about his boy Elijah Hood and that was it. Jason Sapp could cover everything and every position. That's what made Tunnel Vision great. Maybe the fact he calls it tunnel vision is just rude because it's really not.I am done ripping Tom Loy....for now.

That's a better way to phrase it. Thanks, Whiskey.

This has nothing to do with whether it's a private institution or not - it has a lot to do with a fundamental Church teaching.

We probably shouldn't continue to clog up this thread though.
