Hey! I'm 31 too...in 12 years...hah.

Speaking of age, I was talking to my sister today mentioning how I can't wait til my nephew is 18 so I can just beat his *** when he misbehaves (jokingly of course) and she told me how I'd be an old decrepit man by then. I'd be 34. I felt sad. lol

Well...I hope the Armsteads are both next.

Post pics of your sister in the gentlemen's group or gtfo..

*this is assuming she's of proper age

Sorry for telling everyone it was a WR i heard from more than 1 person it was a WR. My bad everybody. Sorry for false info.

Good onya, GB. I think it adds a lot to someone's credibility when they are willing to admit when their info was wrong. We have a lot of insiders on here that always want to take credit when their guesses.. I mean predictions prove correct, but disappear when they don't. You are usually dead on with your info, so it is refreshing to see you willing to pipe up when the rare occasion of bad info arises.

Honest question, does anyone have any insight as to why the staff is so high on Westerkamp? There seems to be some more attractive skill prospects remaining.

Westerkamp: 6'2", c.200. 4.5 forty. 40" vertical. Big strong explosive athlete.

State receiving record holder in Illinois. 5TDs in state 5A championship game. Football family; dad was former state receiving record holder. Computer wizard.

If I had to guess, I would say it is because while he isn't Neal or Agholar (imo), he is very talented. They also want to make sure they get some guys with some talent at WR, if we miss on Neal/Agholar, he is about as good as anybody else still quasi considering ND.

Overall, he has talent and the likelyhood of getting him is good. So they are going in for the close. One of those "bird in hand" situations.

I'm guessing you didn't see the UAAA game? Made a couple really nice plays. Appears to have some explosiveness and good hands. Granted, that's one game, but it does suggest the reports are true.

I think everyone just assumes Westerkamp isn't very good because he's white.

I dont think anyone is saying that he isn't very good, people are wondering why is seems to be so high on Notre Dame's board. I have watched him play plenty, and think that he is plenty talented. But if you are saying that he is as good as guys like Neal or Agholar, then I disagree strongly, and it has nothing to do with his race.

Westerkamp is definetitely not 6'2". Did anyone else see when Tee covering him at the Semper Fi bowl? Unless Tee is 6'4" Westerkamp is not 6'2". I'd say 6'0" which is good for a slot guy. He hads great hands and can jump out of the gym.

No, I don't think that either. I just think sometimes people see white receiver and automatically assume he's slow or Wes Welker, it's pretty annoying.

Or Ed Mccaffrey, lol

Personally, Joe Jurevicius always comes to mind for me.

Seriously, though, we need a WR. Is there a better one we're in on besides Agholor (who seems like a long shot) and Neal (who wants us to wait until after NSD)?

Who's next? Hopefully not a Darby decommit on Tuesday. Check his profile.

Jordan has legit game, but I think when you compare him to Nelson/Neal there is a big difference in talent.

Ya'll are all old. I am eleven years old...but I am emancipated from my parents. So I do as I damn well please up this mofo. Plus, I have a newspaper route. Being a paper boy helps me buy things like food, soap, and electricity. I'm saving up to buy a moped, because you can legally drive one of those at 15 (14 if I get a hardship).

And Westerkamp = Lance Alworth

My realistic dream scenario to end the class now:
-Armstead the Elder
-Armstead the Younger
-Darby
-Neal/Agholor
-If the above happens, and a spot is available, then an OL, LB, or CB. No more safeties or WR's-- my one "knock" (I'm splitting hairs and being WAY critical here-- it's not a huge knock on him thus far) on Kelly's recruiting is sort of over recruiting a position in a given year. It can cause problems down the road. So if that scenario happens, I say sit on that schollie and give it to a 5th year-- we going to need all the spots we can get in next year's class.

Despite losing Darby, this week can truly be awesome for Irish recruiting. The fact that Amir switched was the first move. I think we have to be the favorite with the Armsteads.

Someone mentioned that Arik was seen around the Cal commits a lot during the AA game. Maybe they were around him, you know what I mean?

Getting Darby would be great (and if we don't I will always see him play with that "what if") but we have other skilled recruits the staff have us in good position for.
