i would have said so yes but the tail number on the plane is very similar to one ND has used before for recruiting/transporting coaches.

I have a hard time believing the defensive coaching staff won't undergo some major shakeups. The only advantage to keeping Hudson would be to avoid those kind of shakeups. Ergo, it makes no sense to hire Hudson.

If the rumors of BK looking are true and he has an offer from Oregon, he may have told Jack. Jack tells him to finalize the deal and then they'll negotiate any settlement after Jack knows the terms of the new agreement. Jack tells him to use the plane because he wants to put this to bed asap so he can get a new HC asap. Quicker to fly out and back on ND's jet rather than waiting on Oregon's jet to arrive then fly out and back. If there was tension in their relationship, I wouldn't see BK getting use of the plane, but they do seem to like each other.

Do I think that's what's happening? No. I was simply stating a case where he might get the use of the jet.

If you are saying that our academic standards are a major problem, though, I do not agree. We have better talent than most teams we play. I ask anyone who makes the talent deficit argument: how many losses under BK involved an opponent with a clear talent advantage? Maybe 5 or 6 out of 31? This season we would be 11-1 if we only lost to teams with greater talent.

Yea..agreed. All the regular excuses are fading. Like, the concept that it is hard to get kids to come to South Bend...They are coming to Columbus and Ann Arbor. Coaches are both cult of personality types...but they are doing it, so ND can too.

I buy into this as well. Swarbrick had probably convinced the Board midway through the season that it would turn around, ND would make a bowl and get some momentum going into 2017. When things went south, the Board grew increasingly impatient each week. Now they are seriously considering a change, and have told Swarbrick to keep his mouth shut while they make a decision.

This is the only explanation for complete silence from Swarbrick. The recruiting class is unraveling due to the uncertainty. If Kelly was sure to be back, Swarbrick would make a statement to at least provide stability to the situation.

I drank a 12 pack inside of the library doors under TDJ, and ND officials didn't care. Divorce shouldn't be a 'no go' for a coach.
