My biggest gripe with BK is his body language. He looks mentally checked out before kickoff each game, and has aged worse than Bill Clinton did as president during his tenure here. Now is the time to stop being such a cantankerous sourpuss and positively light a fire. The players need to be excited to make plays, not scared to make mistakes

Clinton was getting BJ's under the desk. That's why he didn't age as much as one normally does in that position.

Ara retired after nine years because of the rigors of being the HC at ND. BK is starting to get near that tenure. One might also argue the demands are even more so today due technology making everything public and available in nanoseconds.

I'd also add Dan Mullen to this list. Good fit for personnel, what he's done at Mississippi State is remarkable.

I do not trust that he won't get us into trouble with the NCAA. Just don't think he has recruited within the rules.

Part of building Stanford's defense to what it is. Vandy's defense isn't bad either.

I think these guys don't feel he'll keep his job at Vandy and will be looking for work after the season.

II's list doesn't represent who they feel is the most realistic. It's just who they'd want, should they become available.

No Fickel. He sucks and is a figurehead at OSU. Urban kept him on as a thank you for his interim year as HC and his recruiting, not his DC abilities.

So we go from having a crappy defense to a crappy offense.

Unless we finish with 4 or less wins, BK will be back. The injuries and suspensions of the secondary will save him this year. I think he'll have to have a very solid 10-11 win season next year to make it any further.

I'm not arguing with you. Like I said, he has made noise, but it's more for his energy, recruiting, and culture he has built at WMU. He hasn't beat any big teams really, and he hasn't placed higher than his division of the MAC yet.

But like I said, so far this year, he has beaten two Big Ten teams and his team is poised to potentially win the MAC. If that happens, somebody at a P5 program will at least give him a look this offseason.

I'm leaning this direction. I just don't think Kelly can right the ship. To much of the same stuff goes on, injurys, Stupid play calling, losing to bad teams, losing to good teams even when we should win, its just a mess at this point in my opinion.

Not sure whats out there, and Kelly did some good things, but in my opinion best thing that could happen is he goes to LSU or the NFL and its a non issue.

I'd can him now, but no later than the bye week, and give Sanford or another coordinator the reigns to see if they're cut out to run the show.

Honestly, there isn't many that could fit. Ranging from buyouts, violations, etc. If you're looking at a REAL possibility. The first coach you'd have to look at is Dan Mullen. The dude can coach, he just has problems recruiting in Mississippi. Ole Miss makes that almost impossible for him

ND could go 3-9 this year and I don't think BK gets fired. I think Swarbrick would put him on the hot seat with one last chance.

My friends are all lunatic Ohio State Fans and they all speak very highly of Fickell. Says hes a master recuiter and gets the best out his players. X and O's might be different but the kids love him and sometimes thats enough.

I believe there was talk about Fickell coming here under Weis. I believe he even interviewed but his wife didn't want to move (all from memory). We lucked out and got Tenuta instead.
