First time I heard of this game. Sounds like something I would love. Plan to buy it.
Let me know what you think -- it's a fun play.

Thanks I hate it. Microsoft and Sony have forgotten what makes console gaming great and they've gone the PC-lite route. Not interested. I guess I'm a Nintendo guy now.
It's nothing that it can't do per se, it's more where they choose to focus. Everything is "look how technically impressive this is" rather than "look how much fun this is." They also don't seem interested in distinguishing themselves with any kind of brand identity. It's all so generic. What makes console gaming great that you can’t accomplish on the new gen of consoles?
Genuinely curious what you mean, not challenging your position
Aren't smart home devices almost universally circular?I also think it’s kind of cool that the new Xbox will look like a bigger version of all the smart home devices.
I'm going to spend 4 days at my in-laws' around Christmas and there are long stretches of nothing going on and there's only so many Christmas movies I can watch. Plan on bringing Luigi's Mansion 3, Return of the Obra Dinn, and Baba Is You. I've been saving those for this vacation.
Sunk 3 hours into the Witcher 3 tonight. The combat is insanely hard. I'm burning the game.

I am an average gamer at best and never really had a problem. Make sure you are not taking on missions that are above your level. Do all the side missions because they will help boost your stats.
I'm a level 7 which isn't that far, but also no slouch given I'm ~5 hours in. I deal out ~120 damage per swing of my silver sword.
Currently at some broken up castle with the hot chick where i jump down and she stays at the top level... and I get absolutely mauled in seconds by 3 wolves. I have armour too.
I've defeated beasts/cave troll which you'd think were tougher than the wolves, but these wolves hammer me within 20 secons and I'm doing everything possible to dodge, protect, and kill.
The default settings have Geralt automatically draw the correct sword when battle begins, but in case you accidentally turned that off at some point... using the wrong sword (like silver v. wolves, or steel v. monsters) will absolutely tank your combat effectiveness. Just something to look out for.
Still not sure what quest you're talking about. Is the woman Yennefer, Kiera, etc.? Regardless, don't get too discouraged. Packs of wolves are legitimately one of the most challenging fights in the game. An important thing to remember is that you can simply block their attacks. Since monsters generally can't be blocked, it's easy to get in a habit of just dodging, but when wolves are coming after you in waves, dodging leaves virtually no chance to attack. Just hold block for the most part, don't let them surround you, and counter-attack whenever you see an opening.
It's Yennifer. It's an old castle-looking platform with no roof, uninhabited. I can't fire up the system right now of I'd give you an exact situation.
The only quest I can think of that: (1) involves Yennefer; (2) has her staying high while you drop down; and (3) fighting wolves, is In Wolf's Clothing. That's a level 15 quest in Skellige, which could explain why you're getting your ass kicked. I normally don't head over there until level 15 at the earliest. You might want to return to Velen or Novigrad and keep questing there.
Yeeeeep, that's it! Ok, I need to navigate what I'm getting into and when better. This gives me hope. Thanks whiskey!
It's been awhile but I think there's a big number that points out what level you need to be to do a mission. Going even a few levels over will get you your ass kicked.
Is there anyway to backout of a main Quest once you're in it in Witcher 3?
Im in the LVL 15 one whiskey mentioned and I'm only a 7. Ass kicking.
Just bought God Of War, Days Gone and Spider-Man on PS4’s holiday say for under $60. Pumped to get into the first two especially
My wife and girls have been out of town for a few days so naturally I ripped through an entire light side female sentinel KOTOR run. That game is still so good.
