Holy man. Turn your hearing aids up old man.

With a Fall 2017 expected release date this may cross paths with Westworld season 2. We will be getting an overload of western living, next fall.

Huh?

anyway, I would say you need kids to enjoy Nintendo... I don't think I ever played Wii with my college buddies, only my wife and oldest daughter and now we are getting to where my youngest is almost at gaming age... I'm super excited to do all of that over again with her.

My oldest just hit gaming age. I've had a lot of fun breaking out the old Nintendo and playing stuff like Punch Out, Super Mario, and a few others with her. I want my kids to get an appreciation for old school games before I break out the later generations of consoles. I wanted to completely avoid exposing them to modern graphics, but that would mean limiting my play time even more.

I got my youngest playing the OG Castlevania on our old NES... she likes it but it's obviously super hard for her.

We play a lot of Mario too. I need to get a SNES so we can play Super Mario World.

I played that to death in high school, the Sharks were hot garbage so I always took them... that, Bill Walsh, Ken Griffey,...

I remember what a thrill it was when Madden introduced audibles.. Madden 94 I think it was.

I tried asking in the actual Westworld thread,... It's about robots in the Wild West? I've heard that's the basic premise... I'm sure there is a premise or two out there that, on it's face, is less interesting to me than that, but I can't currently think of any...

The Ed Harris scenes are the only ones worth watching. The rest is "blah".

Evan Rachel Wood's story is absolute garbage and boring as shit. So is the Thandie Newton's.

The Groundhog day theme is annoying. I understand it's a part of the story, but WE GET IT, MOVE ON

I've got a SNES too. I've got at least two consoles from every era from 8-bit through PS3. I've only briefly had my daughter play some SNES games, I want her to enjoy the NES for awhile before she steps it up. She's mostly just played some Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, and some Tiny Toones game we picked up at the flea market.

I remember Jurassic Park kicking my ass as a kid when I rented it. Always running out of bullets and you're left with that damn cattle prod trying to fend off Raptors.
I always prefer to have carts, but there are a few games that have become super expensive and hard to find. EVO The Search for Eden is one of those games I'll play on emulator. It was pretty fun, you start off as this fish and work your way up the food chain by eating other fish and evolving. Eventually you can become an amphibian, then reptile, then mammal, etc, etc. The cool thing is there's different paths you can take, like you can decide to stay a small mammal instead of evolving into a human. If I recall, there were a number of different endings.

It's been getting pretty good reviews.

The campaign seems to be a hit because of how different the style is, despite the total time requirement being pretty low. And the online play is noted to be pretty standard, but the game stays just faithful enough to WWI limitations to make you think about your playstyle a bit, which is nice.

Can't wait to pick it up on Black Friday haha.

Bf1 is swag. I was curious to see how they'd make it work...I wish it was more bolt action oriented but overall, pleasant experience so far

Thanks ND, I'm basically trying to find out if my wife and kids (and friends when they come over) can play in the same room together and if so, can we play against multiple bots just like an online mode would look but completely offline (old school).

You're a bit of a one-trick pony, eh?

lol... I know, I've asked a number of times... I just want confirmation one way or the other before I consider buying and it's been difficult to find anything concrete...

Even if you can play offline local multiplayer, I can't imagine it would be worth a full $60 title if you're only going to use a tiny percentage of the game's features.

For those who like using sub-par firearms like the FAL in COD:MW2, bots are the appropriate level of competition.
