I want more Metal Gear games.

The Phantom Pain is going to be sooooo great.

Red Dead Redemption is also a good way to put yourself in the mood for some Eastwood movies. Obviously the game itself is a homage to westerns, but much of the music was inspired by Ennio Morricone soundtracks in Sergio Leone's westerns.

Just finished it for the first time. 100% completion took a surprisingly long time. Amazing game, in all aspects. Rockstar games don't usually do much for me, but the atmosphere is so authentic and immersive in RDR that I couldn't help but get sucked in.

Starting Undead Nightmare now. Agent Ross presumably died when Blackwater was overrun, right? If so, that's a big recommendation for this alternate timeline. John's ending made me sad (which was probably the point), but it also pissed me off. I could totally have killed all those Feds had it not forced me out of the barn.

Uncharted trilogy is up next for me.

Look up the gameplay video for Phantom Pain. It looks insane. I'm going to spend so much time just sneaking around, kidnapping enemy soliders and turning them into my army.

Blitzball was great. I remember spending countless hours researching and recruiting players for each position, teaching skills, all that jazz. I kept Keepa around for the simple fact that he goes from being an average goalie up till 90, to being a beast forward at 99. His shot skill goes from like...1 to 99 in just a few levels supposedly I never got that far, I ended up finishing the game and tossing it. The game was alright on it's own, but for me it wasn't as good as 4, 6, and 7.

4, 6, and 7 are all fabulous games. And I also love the original, XII, and Tactics. That said I really do enjoy this game quite a bit. It makes my top 7 FF games, haha.

Awesome man! Wait until you start to go after the Legendary ships in the game. I remember I beat 3 of the 4 ships and then got stuck on the Legendary ship in the Northwest corner of the MAP. Its the one with the huge ram on the front of it. It took me probably 30 attempts before i finally beat it. I flipped my shit when i finally sunk that bastard!

Ha, I actually did very little research before jumping into ACIV, so I had no idea how awesome and expansive the naval warfare stuff would be. I just got done watching some youtube videos, and at one point the guy gets tracked down by a hunter that's a level 80 Man-o'-War.

Suddenly, my accomplishment feels tiny haha.

I'm playing ACIV on Xbox One, but I still have my PS3, so I may have to purchase AC Rogue for more ship action once I beat this.

It will be odd going from new-gen back to PS3 for a game with a more recent release date. I assume they did it to make some cash on fans of the series that weren't able to go new-gen for AC Unity.

4, 6, and 7 are all fabulous games. And I also love the original, XII, and Tactics. That said I really do enjoy this game quite a bit. It makes my top 7 FF games, haha.

The original was definitely great, although I think I failed hardcore against Chaos on the NES until the game was re-released on the PS1 years later. Tactics was great too, had a very interesting story with some crazy politics, but kept it entertaining. Love the class system too. XII I have mixed feelings about. I liked playing around with the setups and automating some functions of combat, it's kind of fun to see if you can structure your team to complete entire battles without a push of a button, but on the other hand that means battles themselves become somewhat boring. I wasn't crazy about a lot of the characters and the story either, they seemed kind of emotionless at times and bland.

I was checking out the website for a game called "Evolve" that's coming out next week. Looks pretty awesome. 5 users; one plays as a giant monster, the other four play as a unit with specialties to take the monster down (Hunters).

So far, there are only 12 Hunter characters available and 3 monsters, so it doesn't appear that there will be huge replay value without DLC, which is kind of a turn off.

Still thinking about picking it up and giving it a try purely to be entertained for a couple months once I finish Black Flag, though.

Anybody else thinking of grabbing it?

I'm loving the KOTOR Android port. If anyone else is interested in a great throwback XBOX game, make sure you do it on a tablet or a Note. Menu selections are way too tiny if you try to do it on anything smaller than a tablet, and it would be difficult even on the other "big" phones without a stylus.

One of the best games I've every played. I think it is designed well to change up gameplay and keep it from getting repetitive as well. GREAT storytelling.

On a side note, is any one playing GTA V on PS4? I thought there was an IrishEnvy crew, but I may have been mistaken. In any case, are any of you on PSN?

Played last of us for 3 hours last night and when I saved, it said 25% complete. I really hope that's not the case... is it 25% done with the current level? Or entire game?

The single player mode is about 14 hours long. That sounds about right actually.
By the end of it, you'll want more, but you won't be mad about the length of time it takes. The DLC is really short as well.

Damn, I am really getting into it. I want it to be longer, but I'll take your word for it.

Is there much else you can do with this game? I usually don't do DLC packs.

There is like a 1.5-2 hour DLC that has some prequel type stuff regarding Ellie. Lots on multiplayer DLC exists. It had a thriving multiplayer community for awhile. Not sure about now...I never gave it a try.

Wait until you unlock the inverted castle and realize your only half way through the game....

Not bad.

Beat "The last of us" a while back. I'm not a huge online player, so it wore off after I beat solo mode.

The Last of Us and Uncharted are the best storylines in video game history. Most true to life and have great characters.
