Don't pause it, mute it. It'll still play in the background but the mute should hold.

Just off memory, you hunt down three old gang members correct? Bill, Javier and Dutch... that was it correct? If the idea of a prequel following the old gang is correct I wonder if you are a lawman dealing with them and take out a few during the story only to miss the chance at the other four in the end... something like that...
I finish very few of these open world story based games... Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, Dead Island, GTAs etc..... I enjoy them all but it's hard to dedicate the time.
I have finished a couple of GTAs and Red Dead...
Red Dead I have played all the way through three times... I loved it that much, I MADE TIME for that game.
Honestly, a new RD game can probably only disappoint, I would have massive expectations.
Me too. The Witcher and Red Dead are my favorites of all time. No lie.
Never got into GTA...Because there were so many, they feel "cheap" to me.
That's honestly the only way the could go, given the ending of the last one.
The story doesn't have to be about John Marston and his gang, imo. It could be an entirely new story. People forget about Red Dead Revolver...obviously a slightly different named game by Rockstar, but it was very similar in it's story telling and theme. GTA these days is never about the same characters, it's always a new protagonist(s) and the setting typically changes (Although lately it's been Liberty City/Vice City/San Andreas, just variations on the time period).
GTA V was one of the best games I've ever played. Completely took the series to a new level. I would give it a try.
I preferred Vice City and San Andreas to V and IV. IV had a downright awful story at times, while V was better but felt a bit rushed. Splitting V between three characters made for an interesting twist, but it also means you don't get as close to any of them. Overall if felt like there were less story missions in V too, probably because they had to spend time on the Online aspect of the game.
I have something like 100 hours on Overwatch, more than I've ever spent in a single game. The Red Dead sequel is going to throw that to shit. The only other game that could have the same effect would be KOTOR or something similar from EA / Star Wars.

For no reason other than boredom, my all time top five games in no particular order:
Overwatch
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Red Dead Redemption
Super Smash Bros.
Nice! Just some off the top of my head...I'm sure there are ones I'm forgetting
Red Dead Redemption
Uncharted (any of them)
The Witcher 3
God of war (any of them)
The Last of Us
I think the 3 characters is what made it really cool to me. The missions where you had to flip between them mid-mission was one of the coolest things I have experienced as a gamer. I also think they had unique personalities that made you want to act in a way that reflects their personality. With Trevor I wanted to blow shit up and drive off road. With Frankin I had a sense of morality and wanted to ride a motorcycle. With Michael it was about making money and driving expensive cars and wearing expensive clothes. I was surprised how well I connected to all 3 characters.
1) Majora's Mask/Ocarina of Time (Majora's gets the nod if I have to choose)
2) Dark Souls
3) Bioshock
4) Super Metroid
5) Grand Theft Auto III. (This is the only one on my list that can be suplanted by almost* any GTA game after it. While VC, SA and V were all better games, I still list GTA III because it changed everything.)
*GTA IV sucks.
I mean, I'm a big time video game fan, but I bought that game on a whim, and got my ass kicked on the first big fight and never came back.
Way too hard for me. I'm a gamer...but obviously not at that level.
Dark Souls difficulty is one of the most overstated things in video games. It's really not hard, it just has a different set of mechanics than most action games and it takes a bit to figure out how they work. Once you figure it out, it's pretty average. If you take the time to min/max your character the game is a downright cakewalk.
