Smooth McGroove has done some excellent stuff over the years, but Bloody Tears always hits hard for me. I played Simon's Quest before I ever played the original and it'll always be my favorite. As annoying as the transition can be from day to night (And back), you knew things kicked up a notch when Bloody Tears starts playing.

Here's a Castlevania medley, Bloody Tears comes in about 2:13

<iframe width="100%" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" allow="autoplay" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/333262763&color=%23ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true"></iframe><div style="font-size: 10px; color: #cccccc;line-break: anywhere;word-break: normal;overflow: hidden;white-space: nowrap;text-overflow: ellipsis; font-family: Interstate,Lucida Grande,Lucida Sans Unicode,Lucida Sans,Garuda,Verdana,Tahoma,sans-serif;font-weight: 100;"><a href="https://soundcloud.com/girlz-melon" title="Girlz Melon" target="_blank" style="color: #cccccc; text-decoration: none;">Girlz Melon</a> · <a href="https://soundcloud.com/girlz-melon/girlz-melon-castlevania-medley" title="Castlevania Medley" target="_blank" style="color: #cccccc; text-decoration: none;">Castlevania Medley</a></div>

Back to Smooth, I think this is some of the best work he's ever done. His hands during Gerudo Valley are insane.

Random question, is anyone else's PS4 extremely loud? When the fan kicks on, it sounds like a rocket ship taking off.

I've had to tweak and mod my PS4 a couple ways over the years...screw tweak for disks randomly getting ejected, washer mod for the video cutting out (It works!), and upgrading the hard drive to a 2TB model (So worth it). Haven't had any problems with the fan yet, but honestly fans don't bug me that much with consoles. My computer case has at least 5 large fans running in it and I've learned to ignore them.

My PS4 cranks like a jet engine when starting up/ running certain sequences in games. But it usually slows back down quickly.

That's what I'm experiencing. It's not constant, but on and off.

My Xbox problem, and I have this on my original Xbox One as well as my Xbox One S, is when I try to eject a disc the console tries to suck it back in immediately.

I tried to open my PS4 to clean the fans to prevent the jet engine sound, but I couldn't get the right side of the cover off to save my life.

Gave up and just blasted as much as I could with compressed air.

Skill progression in Shadow of War is so much fun. I just did the challenge where you have to kill more orcs than three drakes in two minutes. So much fun.

Saw a list of leaked achievements from AC: Valhalla.

Not sure if it's real, but it looks pretty legit based on following the generic achievement pattern from previous AC games... but that could also be perhaps a great sign that it's NOT real, since it follows the predictable pattern so well.

If it is legit?

VERY HYPE.

I won't spoil anything, but it seems like the better aspects of the modern-day storyline are coming back (shut up @greyhammer), and that they will be ratcheting up the 'myth as reality' thing that Origins and Odyssey did with a lot of the content.

Absolutely gonna buy the $100 Gold edition with all the DLC and season passes and whatnot. Origins and Odyssey didn't let me down... I have high hopes for Valhalla now.

Me realizing a new AC means I get to poke the Lion with a sharp stick every time new information drops:

More excited for the potential that they have a section of the game, or DLC content, where you're exploring Valhalla and fighting Norse gods.

AGGRESSIVE NEGOTIATIONS

*Snuffs Candle with Fingers*

*Winks at Camera*

Am I supposed to identify with the Vikings as they raid Catholic England because Ubisoft threw in a scene of them playing with their kids? The plot of these games suuuuuuucks.

"So get this... you're a time-traveling Jacobin who gets to destroy Christendom! Don't worry, though, we'll f*ck up the history so bad that you'll think you're fighting for the good guys."

Just wait until Assassin's Creed: Midnight Apostle, where you are Jesus' hidden apostle... preaching the good word by day, eliminating the agents of Satan at night.

Game Prompt: *Head to JOSEPH'S WORKSHOP and search for clues to reveal your next TARGET*

And then Jesus uses the Shroud of Turin (a precursor artifact) to resurrect himself post-crucifixion, goes into hiding, and marries the Templar and Assassin ideologies with yet ANOTHER hidden group of freedom fighters.

Then, when we get Assassin's Creed: Moon Colony in the year 2032, the big reveal is that everybody sucks and should just stop fighting.

Actually terribly conflicted that AC is about to step on the toes of the next GoW.

Not getting to head to those other 3 realms via the World Tree 'per Oden's command' was tantalizing.

Of course we're the good guys, it clearly shows that our character didn't murder the escaping woman and her children fleeing from the burning pyre that used to be their village.

I am so pumped for this game. I loved both Origins and Odyssey. It sounds like the settlements feature could be something that I am going to be completely addicted to. I hope the map includes areas north of Scotland such as the Shetland Islands and Iceland. I am really curious to see the map.

I hope the new AC goes back to their older playing style, the last two games were way too different from the original games

I think they will continue to lean even further into the RPG thing, rather than going back to the old formula.

They could come up with mission objectives and assassination controls/animations that are from the older games, which I think is needed , but I think skill trees, perks, weapon tiers, armor tiers, and build control are all here to stay, as are the dialogue ‘choices’ and the effect they have on the story.

If Origins was the first step toward RPG with skills and different load outs, and Odyssey was a big step forward with refined skills, perks and dialogue choices, I’d imagine this one will have all of that, plus some kind of morality system that affects the world and the story (to go along with a settlement system that could range from “spend money to make money” to “Fallout 4 customization overkill”).

After my final exam two weeks from today, I will honor whiskey by firing up a new Europa Universalis game. Perhaps Austria so I can nip the Reformation in the bud.

Here you go...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="und" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PS4share?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#PS4share</a><a href="https://t.co/wqFqprhVtc">https://t.co/wqFqprhVtc</a> <a href="https://t.co/MF2zxTYyzI">pic.twitter.com/MF2zxTYyzI</a></p>— Kyle Biggs (@KyleBiggs) <a href="https://twitter.com/KyleBiggs/status/1256950471064944642?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 3, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I start by heading for that gap in the wall, mounting my weapon, and setting sites on that opening to the right in case they go that way. Normally I would then lob my munitions over the center and move when it gets to “overtime.”

I got blasted by a rock and thought I heard footsteps to the left in my headphones, so that’s why I checked that way lol. It worked out because I got a lucky shot off.

It’s not some magic trick to win a lot, but it’s nice to have a set strategy each time.

Plant yourself in the middle, watch the right side, listen for footsteps to the left. Gives you an idea of where to focus without running around all crazy.
