Until Dawn is free on PSPLUS this month. Its unbelievably terrifying. My friend played it for about 2 hour the other day, while I contributed by screaming like a child and giving him advice on his in game choices. It's brilliant with how the game direction will change the camera angles on you. Its more like a horror TV series made into a video game, than an actual video game.

Yeah I got that game as a kind of joke last Halloween. It would be something I would play while the lady watches. I figured it wouldn't be too scary since it looked really campy and it wasn't in first person... I was mistaken.

So whiskey... money. I had a lot, then I started playing Blood and Wine and now I'm broke... should I go back to Skellige and pick up all the random caches?? What's the best way to make some coin to afford all these new armors and furnishings??

Hitting all the random caches in Skellige takes some time, but should net you about 50k gold. You'll quickly become overburdened, but don't bother heading back to sell mid-circuit, since it doesn't affect your ability to pilot the boat or dive a few meters to get more loot.

Selling crafting materials (dimeterium, precious mineral dust, etc.) to one of the good smithing vendors (Hattori, "Top notch swords" guy in Hierarch square, Grandmaster smith in Toussaint), or runes/ glyphs to the Runewright always results in good money.

There's no easy trick to making money in TW3. You just have to loot everything valuable you come across and hold onto it until you find a vendor that'll offer you good price and who has enough gold to buy it off you.

The Great Reclamation just took a big step forward:

Just got Simon's Quest CIB, everything in good shape, for 35 bucks. Pretty good deal, I've seen Castlevania games CIB sell for around 100 plenty of times.

Those assbags at Nintendo must seriously hate money.

Seriously, I'll never understand their business strategy. In one year, they've refused to provide me with a NES Classic, a SNES Classic, and Breath of the Wild on Xbox. That's over $200 in lost revenue from a very casual gamer.

If I can't get my hands on an SNES Classic, I'm going to get a Raspberry Pi and build a DIY retro console, and just put everything on it.

Has anyone been playing OW lately? Doomfist was just released on Quickplay for console. He's kind of trash.

Blizzard needs to release a new Support hero IMO.

My PSN name is CptQuinn if anyone wants to play a few games.

How do you do this?? I've long wondered... can you do add-ons like Game Genie and such??

Here's what I bookmarked for the future project:

I'm not sure about Game Genie/Game Shark specifically, but I know a lot of emulators/ROMs have cheat software built into them. For example, I had a coworker back in my work-study days that would play Pokemon via emulator on her laptop every night. The emulator/ROM could run the game in its original format as a carbon-copy of what you had played on Gameboy, but it gave you other options, too.

You could speed up the system to play the game much faster, you could input codes to make specific Pokemon appear whenever you wanted, and you could alter your items list as desired.

I think a lot of it is just finding the correct downloads for what you want, saving them to your computer, and then sending them to your Raspberry Pi

I forgot to mention I had another great find last week.

All CIB, all at worst great condition, most in mint:

-Paperboy
-Legend of Zelda
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
-Pac Man
-Tecmo Super Bowl
-Tetris
-Jeopardy
-F-15 Strike Eagle
-Mike Tyon's Punch Out (I'll flip this one as I already have it)

... all for roughly the price a mint Zelda goes for all by itself. Dude had had no idea what he had.

Another shitty preorder job by Nintendo. Online preorders going up in the wee hours of the morning today basically ensures, once again, that a disproportionate amount of consoles are going to go to people who used purchasing bots to gobble up multiple consoles. Also sounds like that, once again, Nintendo has greatly underestimated the demand for the console. Anyone who wants one is going to have to pay through the nose on the secondary market because Nintendo doesn't like to print money.

Picked up Dragonage: Inquisition on sale. Big mistake; should have listened to greyhammer.

I like having a whole party of heroes to optimize gear and abilities for, and the choice of fighting in real-time 3rd person mode or the tactical top-down mode is cool. But the story is a mess, the writing and voice acting are atrociously bad, and the character models are constantly glitching in ways that completely ruin the immersive effect that makes a good fantasy RPG. Maybe I'm just spoiled after Skyrim and The Witcher 3, but there's too many rough edges for me to get past here.

When was the last time Bioware made a good game?

KOTOR? I liked the original Dragon's Age quite a bit, I need to revisit that one. I wanted to check out Inquisition, but Steam didn't have it available last I checked. Looks like I need to pass on it.
