Playing Star Wars Galaxies again. Apparently someone from SOE or Lucas Arts leaked the original code to the community awhile back. A group has been running a server for the past year, making tweaks and adding some missing content back into the game. It's got all the Space combat, ground combat /w heroics, TCG loot, and housing/player cities stuff.
If anyone still has their discs or a digital copy, it's pretty easy to get into the Omega server. If not there are torrents/Google drive downloads with the installer if you have an e-mail with your old digital receipt. There's about 1000 people connected during peak hours. You can have up to 5 characters, and 3 can be logged on at the same time.

Show comes out tomorrow. Lately I've been playing:
-Witcher (got it to work, but I have found a few other glitched quests I can't finish) I am loving playing Gwent though, I basically go around and do that...
-College Hoops 2k8... enjoying it as always, I dust it off once a year, one of the greatest College sports games ever.
Ken Griffey Baseball... still pluggin along with those Chili Davis and Tim Salmon led Angels...
All this prob ends for a while after tomorrow though... the addition is about to kick back in.

TIL that in Street Fighter II, the American boxer was originally named M. Bison (short for Mike Bison) as a reference to Tyson. But Capcom was afraid of getting sued, so in all American localizations, they rotated the names of the last three bosses: M. Bison became Balrog, Balrog became Vega, and Vega became M. Bison.

What system are you playing on? The peer-to-peer "servers" on Xbox are absolutely trash. I love the game but the crashes make it borderline unplayable.

Not sure if you gamer nerds knew this already or not. But when I go to my local library, they have over 1000 Xbox and PlayStation games you can check out. Pretty new stuff too. All for free. If my local library in a town of 3000 peeps does it, I'm sure your local probably does as well.

I was out running errands last Friday and walked by the GameStop like 5 blocks from my building. So I stopped to check in just to see what the story has been with the Switch. I live on the North side of Chicago, so I would expect, a somewhat sizable shipment to have been delivered to this store. Get this, on release day, they received less than the amount of pre-orders they sold. Supposedly those who didn't get there's Day 1 got them with in a few days. I don't believe that, but we'll give them the benefit of a doubt.
Then last Tuesday 03/21/17, GameStops across the country were supposed to be resupplied with Switches, this store received 10..... and they had over 30 people waiting to try and get one.
But here's the weird part. This GameStop location is offering a bundle package where you get the system, a pro controller, Zelda, Snipperclips, Bomberman, and 1 more shitty game I cant remember the name of, for $499. Some how it comes out to you saving like 25 bucs. And the GameStop rep tells me, "We are really close to the distribution site, so we get them pretty fast." They told me they had received bundles on Friday that were ordered on Tuesday and Wednesday. Which I thought was remarkably fast. So either those people got incredibly lucky with the timing they place their bundle orders. Or GameStop is purposefully holding back Switch Inventory levels to push this bullshit, half ass, bundle they threw together at the last minute, which no one wants. They would rather try to make an insignificant profit margin increase by pushing this bundle, instead of actually distributing their Swtich Inventroy. They would rather piss people off and hurt the public's perception of their brand image, instead of just actually distributing the Switches.
Someone needs to make a "RELEASE THE SWITCHES" meme.

More bad news from Nintendo. It sounds like games are going to cost anywhere from $65 to $75 for what would normally be $60 titles on other platforms. Apparently the cost to produce those dumbass cartridges is a lot more expensive than sticking the content on a Blu-ray. The worst part is that Nintendo is forcing developers to charge the same price for digital games as they do physical games so you're going to have to pay the premium no matter what.

The reason no one can find NES Classics or Switch consoles is because an evil, dinosaur-looking turtle that breaths fire is actually hoarding them all in his castle.
But if you storm his castle, defeat his skeleton-turtle guards, avoid pits of lava that shoot fireballs, and successfully navigate the corridor with the ceiling that regularly drops to the floor and has spikes attached to crush you AND pierce your dead body, you will only find that he has simply moved all of the consoles to his next castle.
