Work emails.

Clients, coworkers, subordinates, doesn't matter...people send them all the time, and at any hour of the day. The overwhelming majority are not urgent or pressing and can wait. Further, I hate "status update" emails. They clog up your inbox for more urgent, pressing matters.

Lastly, just because you send me an email, doesn't mean that you're entitled to an instantaneous response. If it waits 24, 48 hours, you'll be just fine.

Bama is a controlled state but I doubt obtaining a liquor license is that difficult.

As far as bars with team affiliation outside of the state schools, probably depends where you’re at. Huntsville I believe has an Irish affiliated bar. Closer to Georgia I am sure there’s a few. Maybe Clemson as I don’t know of a bar in Bama that caters to them. Not an expert though.

Surcharge for dining out and automatic tipping charged on your bill… even at places you order at the front and pick up your own food and get your drink they ask for a tip. Dining out has become an aggravating experience at some places.

The suggested tip amounts have changed as well…….I’ve seen some on the bills suggesting 20%, 25% or 30%. I always tip but when the expectations are for more and more, it does make it aggravating (especially when the workers just hand you the food across the cashiers counter).

Working in Manhattan a couple days a week, the combination smell of urine and marijuana runs rampant from train station to office. Damn near unavoidable.

I’m not some prude. I smoke on rare occasion. Take edibles to sleep sometimes. Don’t really care what people do in their own homes. But man, NYC these days literally just smells like a mixture of urine from all the homeless and marijuana. Every year I’ve been coming since 2018 has gotten marginally worse.

Anyway, I’m probably just grumpy from a combined 5 hours of commuting today because of traffic, but f that place.
