I'm going to revisit this for a second.

I get headaches, sometimes migraines, occasionally. Typically stress related. Nothing can ever touch them. Prescriptions or over the counter. My GF will put an oil around the base of my neck or down towards my shoulder blade, 15 mins its mostly subsided.

I wasn't being an ass, didn't have my chest puffed out, didn't even cheer loud or celebrate. Just wore my ND jersey and enjoyed the game in peace. Until I got to the men's room in the 4th quarter...

I don't start crap in bars and I can't say on IE what I said to this jerkoff Pitt fan, but I did retaliate haha

Riddle me this, math nerds. I've been thinking about the quote "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take" and whether or not it's mathematically accurate. Assuming missed shots are a subset of shots taken, the calculation of misses would be zero divided by zero. Thus, the percentage of shots missed is undefined.

When the ESPN ticker puts a score update on and it takes them forever to show that the PAT was actually good. Drives me crazy.

I hate when people say they regret something that they were incapable of doing in the first place.

Lebron was quoted today as saying he regretted not playing against Kobe in the finals.

How can you regret something that is completely out of your control? Sure, he controls his own performance but he doesn't control whether the Lakers are good. Drives me nuts.

If you don't take a shot, then you cannot miss. Correct. Its like calling not collecting stamps a hobby.

My alma mater has no football team. They sell "Still Undefeated" football t-shirts in the campus store.

It should be more like " you will fail to experience something if you choose not to do it." That is more accurate IMO.

or "Do or do not, there is no try" is infinitely better.

Nitpicking, but "still undefeated" is factually and logically correct, though. They have not been defeated in competition.

The "miss the shots you don't take" is not logical, because you can neither make nor miss a shot that has not actually occurred.

Whereas being undefeated means you have not been beaten, regardless of why that might be the case.

I guess I see it as you cannot have the possibility of defeat without the possibility of victory and not playing negates either from happening.

But the statement is not that they have won all of the games, just that they have not lost them.

It's not about winning or losing, it's about being defeated.

They have not been defeated. It's because they haven't had a competition, but the fact remains that they are unbeaten.

Whereas you cannot make OR miss a shot that has not occurred.

You can't miss a shot if you don't take a shot. However, you don't have to play a game to say that you are unbeaten. Because you really haven't been beaten.
