We just got Spencer, the American Trappist beer, here in Austin. I got a can of their Monks' IPA because that's all I saw. Pretty dang good, though pricey. Much more of an old-school IPA, and not remotely like the NE IPAs that have been all the rage (even though this is brewed in MA).

Soooooo tired of hazy. Been getting some great Pizza Port seasonals this spring. Surfari IPA, Sidewalk Surfin DIPA, Campgrounds IPA & North of the Pier. Hold the fruit and haze. All the flavor is hop driven.

Permanent Vacay IPA should be hitting the shelves any day, supposed to be really light and refreshing. Sounds like this summer's pool beer.

Forgot to say what I'm drinkin'

The last of the neighbors' Key Limes off the tree margaritas with agave, jalapeno and rim salt mixed in. (don't like it on the rim) We make em frozen in the blender and then let em melt half way. Heaven.

An assortment of IPAs and a very nice Pils from New Trail in Williamsport here in PA. Relatively new brewery (3 years old-ish) that is making some fantastic beers.

Think I’ll run down to the local spot and pick up a nice mix today. Been a long week.

Stone Enjoy by 7.4.20
Founder's Mas Agave Grapefruit

What's ur thoughts on the Enjoy by?

Sounds like it could either way. 9%, unfiltered and fruity sounds heavy on the head. (I've cut sugar way back for summer)

Is it overly boozy?

I'm picking up a couple of sixes of Pizza Port's latest seasonal, Permanent Vacay that landed today. Pizza Ports 5 seasonals so far this year have been home runs.

Unfiltered def gives it more of a mouth feel than their usual enjoy by. Smells more fruity than it tastes imo. There's def a booziness to it at front then the hops hit. Overall I'd call it average.

Turns out that we DID get Spencer Quad in town. Pretty good, very boozy. Maybe a little too much.

A local minimart with great selection has apparently been clearing out some old stuff. I tried:

2013 Real Ale Sisyphus Barleywine. Just too boozy and left me feeling a bit off. I have no idea what the abv was but it tasted off the charts.

Today I picked up a 4 pack of Founders Curmudgeon. They discontinued this beer 3+ years ago so it's at least that old. Def sat around too long but the molasses is still kinda there.

Just got a shipment in of Adroit Theory. Had the hoppy saison Transmutation (Ghost 865). Solid offering. Very drinkable, can't wait to try the others.

So my wife bought some Jameson some time back and never liked it so I eventually tried it on ice and really enjoyed it. Figured this is what scotch drinkers like about all this stuff, so let’s try it full force for once,...

Just got back from the local spot:
- Founders Reserve,
-Robert Burns single,
-Ballantine’s 12 year,
-Laphroaig 20 as I know I can enjoy that okay,
and more Jameson,... almost got some Oban to but figured I’ll try that next time. I’ll report back as I dive in. I figure if I like any of these as much as the Jameson I will open the door to the more pricey stuff.

Also got some Corzo tequila, Reposado and Silver, we like both and my usual assortments of sour beers. I’m stocked up...

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass.
Stir to chill, combine, and properly dilute.
Strain over one large ice cube.
Express a lemon peel over the top of the drink, then discard.

Black is Beautiful, a collaboration between Weathered Souls of San Antonio and tons of breweries around the country. The specific collab I'm having is with Austin Beerworks

A couple of stores have started to bring in Founders, so I'm pretty excited. Picked up some Breakfast Stout, last week, and so now I have CBS and BS in my cooler. I traded for a KBS, a month ago, so I've now had the trifecta. Great stuff.

<——smashed off a 12er of these yesterday in the pool. Got the variety pack. I recommend drinking the cherry and raspberry first before choking down the lime and grapefruit.
