Been on a Firestone Walker kick lately. Costco has a variety case for $24.99 that includes Union Jack, FlyJack Session, Mind Haze and the latest Luponic Distortion which is billed as Peach, Pear Drop and Dragonfruit. It's great, hard to believe they can make this without using fruit additives, it's all hop. The local Kroger has them on sale right now for $8.50 a six (12 oz cans)

Another of FW's series is called Propagator. It's a single hop that they manipulate into various flavors. I got the Mosaic Series in the latest variety pack. Classic Westcoast IPA. Big, bold & bitter. This one belongs in San Diego vs. NorCal.

Aelbert's Vagabond of the Western World rustic saison. Tastes more of a slightly sour farmhouse ale. Pretty dang good; made a trade for this bomber with a buddy of mine in town. He's coming back from Kentucky in a couple days and will be treating me to some good bourbon soon, should be amazing.

Luponic is good stuff I had one last year that was awful but most all the others have been great. Karl Strauss Mosaic was the first I've had with strong fruit flavors without any actual additives. Now it seems everyone is going there.

Another bottle of Founders Curmudgeon. Still have no idea how old this beer is, but I swear I taste mint in it, which is a bit strange.

Might need to pick that up, though the only friends I get a beer with (outside on their patio) have some other brews for me.

Had the third worst beer I've ever tasted a couple weeks back. It was called Pickle Punch. Brewed with pickle brine. It was freakin awful!

I'm really liking the Heaven Hill stuff. ECBP is my jam, right now. I had some single-barrel stuff from a private group that was magical. Just popped open an Evan Williams 12, last week, and that one is really smooth. Glad I kept it.

Why would anyone think brewing a beer from pickle brine was a good idea? I'm afraid to ask what two beers were even worse.

Did you have so many that you forgot it's Bells?

Must have but regardless it was rough on the stomach the day after.

For those big-time Bourbon drinkers.

A non-profit I'm involved with that supports Vets/First Responders is raffling off high end bourbons. I can verify the legitimacy.

I hear that. Fortunately I have a bunch of stuff I’ve been working on at the homestead so I don’t become a complete pile. Haha.

Haha. Camo 13 malt liquor and a beer that I saw at BevMo back in the mid 90’s that claimed to be “the strongest beer in the world”. I had a smoked Viking beer awhile back that would place fourth. Tasted like a carbonated forest fire. Bleeech!

Welcome back to the board bud.

Have you ever tried Lagavulin 16? It's an essential if you like peat. People talk about how much it tastes like a campfire, and it does, but if you go deeper I think it tastes like the ocean. I feel like a sea captain drinking it.

Do you mix the two? I like both, but the idea of them mixed together sounds vile.
