Really like Little Sumpin... past beer of the year for me. Really like the Aunt Sally by Lagunitas too.

Have not seen the Aunt Sally up here. Lagunitas had another offering... an IPA that was well received by the lads last week.

Not a big beer guy but have had some great ones from Lagunitas and Oskar (?) out of Colorado. The "Ten Fiddy" Russian Imperial Stout being among my favorites.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Has anyone tried Blood Oath No. 5 bourbon whiskey?

Black Saddle 12 year?

Jefferson's 'Ocean Aged' Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey, VOYAGE 18?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a couple new bottles and those are three under consideration. I will also accept write-ins.

I've been wanting to try the Jefferson's Ocean Aged. I have heard it is pretty good.
The last couple bottles I have gotten are Duke small batch, Eagle Rare, and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.

Everyone looking forward to fall beers? Is everyone being strong and waiting until at least September 25th?

So on that note last night I also had an Oktoberfest, and have been hitting up my local go tos for the pumpkin beers that have not hit yet... I also decorated the house for Fall/Halloween like a month ago.

I'm all bout that life.

Downtown Disney has some great spots. Love the Jazz Kitchen.

California Adventure also has some great beers but they rotate them in and out often.

Ive had blood oath. Its solid but i dont think it does anything better than a 50 dollar of solid bourbon.

I'm not much of a bourbon expert but has anyone else had Longbranch?? I really enjoyed it, which is like,.... the only time I've enjoyed bourbon straight up.

This is what I wanted to hear. I'm not trying to buy expensive whiskey to say I have expensive whiskey. I'm looking for something unique or profoundly enjoyable, especially when I dish out more than a benjamin for a bottle of brown intoxicant.

Any suggestions? I'm simple and have not been able to transition to scotch. I like bourbon.

Basil Hayden's, when found for $30 is one of my favorite value buys. It's easy, smooth, what I like to sip. Similarly in that vein, I like Maker's 46.

I'm looking to develop my whiskey palate so any suggestions are appreciated.

Belching Beaver / Pizza Port collab = Carlsbadass - American IPA.

Best beer I've had since last summer's Pizza Port / Stone collab = BFF - San Diego Pale Ale.

Really liked the Jazz Kitchen. The whole week has been really phenomenal. I will say, this mouse has taken a bite out of my ass like few other vacations have.

One of my favorites is WhistlePig. I’ve only had the 10 yo. But, it’s really smooth.

Gonna be a bunch of hammered Irish fans this evening. I'm still trying determine what time I'll crack the seal today. I already feel the need to pop a top, but trying to hold off to 3pm...

I have some of the lads coming over for tonight's game. Chili is on and I'm doing a liquor store run soon... various Irish beers and a bottle or Red Breast 12.

The greatest impediment to "keeping it real" for The Irish game will be Michigan - Wiscy!

Cheers and Go Irish!!

I'm on the same kick I was last year (I drink the same beer ever week, and only that beer, until we lose) so I'm getting off cheap. I changed from Bud Lite to Coors Lite 16 ounce for this year as the Bud Lite didn't seem to have enough umph to get us through the playoffs.

I've got chili too, some steaks, and some spicy rotel/cheese/hamburger/sausage dip for the festivities.

It's going to be hard not to crack a beer in 8 minutes for the scUM game....................

Go Wiscy
